This is one of my all time Norhern Beaches or series of beaches. The open pool near the rock platform can get crowded but is a great alternative to sometimes high surfs typical of the area. This beach attracts people from Central Coast, from the North Shore, even from the South. It is not quite the fair dinkum North Shore Manly but its close. More down to earth, a bit more scenic (very!) but it can get very crowded in the car park at the far end of the beach. Again get there as early as possible to beat the hordes of crowds. Lots of great cafés but gradually getting pricier as this lovely former hidden under the radar Sydney beach is slowly becoming gentrified with lots of new apartments housing new residents. Still a gorgeous getaway from the city and bit rugged and wild...

Nice relatively unpopulated beach. If u find Manly too busy for you, Dee Why is a bit better. It also has lots of shops such as Coles, woollies etc for supplies and is easy to get to by bus eg 136 from the chatswood train interchange or b1 from Wynyard without much walking from the bus stop required.

It is a great place to start a beautiful day walking up all the other northern beaches to Mona Vale. Allow for at least 5 hours to take pictures and soak up the natural beauty. See my other reviews of those other beaches for pictures.

When at the other end of the beach there is a nice rocky platform which is nice to walk around during low tide. If high tide, you can take the upper path up the wooden bridge and walk around the golf course to the car park and get to...

Just my opinion Dee Why is the best beach in Australia why? because there is so much to see and hear with the lagoon running behind the dunes its home to some of the worlds most beautiful birds one being the iconic Black Swan. Dee Why beach has a one way road running parallel to the beach front with a variety of delicious cafes and restaurants. Also at the south end there are beach pools with 🚻 restrooms all wheelchair accessible. We have brave lifeguards keeping a watchful eye on swimmers. There's something for everyone at Dee Why beach .also please pick up your trash and place it in the bins...

Very good view of the sunset, very good food around, coffee and ice cream, good swimming pool and average toilets, take a walk to the long reef you won’t regret it! It’s good for surfing, running, golf and soccer on the beach, nice walk from the lake and picnic area at the front, little playground for the kids and in the sunset all the colourful birds come to sleep in the trees. There is a possibility of sharks. Usually not very busy but on weekends and public holidays. Beauty full pictures.

Deewhy beach captivated by its breathtaking beauty. The pristine shoreline, soft golden sand, and the gentle rhythm of the waves created a serene and rejuvenating atmosphere. It's an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and a connection with nature. The stunning sunset views added a magical touch to the overall experience. I highly recommend deewhy beach for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the tranquility of a picturesque beach setting
