I liked it, an okay spot for bird watching, the vegetation in the dunes is great for bird life. I was a bit disappointed because silly me went at low tide, when there was no water in the lagoon - just wet, dirty sand, a pelican, black swan, some common ducks and a lot of seagulls. Not quite what I was hoping for - so I suggest CHECKING A TIDE CHART before planning a trip to this lagoon. The beach and park were really busy, but was able to find a car space a few side streets away

Went for a short walk at the beach, then went to the lagoon. There were not as many wildlife as I thought. I could hear the birds more than I could see them. It was a quiet, peaceful and easy walk. Nice lagoon that runs out to the sea. If you want peace and quiet, you can come to this lagoon for a walk, or go to the beach. But if you want something more exciting, this might not be the place for you. It depends on what you want from your experience.

A beautiful spot located in between Dee Why Beachfront and Long Reef Beachfront an easy two to five minute Oceanside walk from either main car parks. Absolutely breathtaking in the sunset with cool trees to sit on and usually sports a decent swell too (for the budding surfers). Overall, a lush location nestled within Sydneys’ Northern Beaches leading into gorgeous bush walks with stunning views that is well worth checking out.
