Major Fun Freshwater — Attraction in Sydney

I appreciate the convenience of having an Indoor Playground available for parents wanting dinner at the Diggers when doing a "dine and drop," but I just want people to be aware of the pitfalls of the birthday party service that Major Fun offers. It was my understanding that I had booked a room for 2 hours. However, on the big day, I felt everything was incredibly tightly scheduled for the kids, with short playing times on the equipment crammed in between birthday activities that the 5-6 year olds didn't have the attention span for. With a starting time of 12pm, we were pushed OUT of the booked room by 1:30 pm. Being a stressed mother, I didn't think to say anything on the day, but felt extremely undervalued as a customer. The real punch in the guts was when the slices of birthday cake (which my friend had spent 2 days making) were thrown directly in the bin only 10 mins after it had been "cut" (not with a knife, I think they only have a small cake slice on hand- must be a safety thing). As soon as the kids were allowed to play after singing happy birthday, the room was suddenly (and without warning), being emphatically cleaned up! I didn't even get a chance to get a bite of the cake! All the leftover kids food, cake, drinks and unused serviettes were unceremoniously dumped into the bins far earlier than expected, and the cold leftover platters were transferred to the reserved adult table in the adjacent dining area. However, why they tossed the larger drink jugs is beyond me, especially when all the kids came back thirsty from playing, and we had to ask for new plastic cups to be provided for the 2 small jugs of water near the front reception area. When you pay hundreds of dollars (around $600) for a room a 2 hours, you expect to be IN the room and have it at your disposal for 2 hours. There were no other bookings after us, so there was no need for the rush. It became a mess, especially when all the presents and kids belongings were also transferred to the adult table at 1:30..everyone came back from playing not having a clue where anything was, toys were being unwrapped in the general dining area, clothes and shoes were all over the place...the kind of disorganisation you book a room for to try to avoid when having a kids party! It was not all bad, the girls who acted as hostesses were wonderful on the day and I understand they are just doing what they are told from management in regards to having the room cleaned before 2pm. Is this a case of false advertising, or an oversight on behalf of the management.? It clearly states on the website that a room is booked for 2 hours usage, (not 1.5 hrs) within the 2.5 hour play session. It is never a great feeling when staff are forcefully cleaning up around you, especially when it is long before time is up! I have since witnessed this clean-up policy in action at 2 subsequent parties. CUSTOMER/BUYER BEWARE...( And perhaps be more assertive with management than I was...

We recently hosted a party at Major Fun Playcentre at freshwater and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and genuinely enjoyable,thanks in large part to the incredible staff.

Tiarne was absolutely amazing in helping us with the booking process. They were so accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure everything was tailored exactly how we wanted. Their patience and attention to detail made planning the event a breeze.

On the day of the party, we were lucky to have Bonnie as our host, and she was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, Bonnie made sure everything ran smoothly. Her warm, friendly attitude and exceptional customer service made all the difference. She was attentive, organized, and made every guest feel welcome and looked after.
