Went to this branch yesterday to help pay my dad's membership bill in the afternoon. This is the second time I was treated badly by a lady working in that office. The lady tried to help me pay for it online because there was a long queue. She needed my dad's date of birth to process the payment. My father and I are NOT close. When I told her I didn't know. She became very rude and unprofessional, telling me to "come on" and "how could I not know". I told her that my dad and I are not close. She brushed me off, gave me dirty looks and said "I can't help you, sorry". She dismissively told me to go to the post office that was "just around the corner". I'm not a local, so I couldn't find this post office. Had to ask a stranger, who was kind and told me that there was one in Westfield.
Last year, it was a racist lady who told me her life story, while processing my bill payments. She presumed my nationality and ethnicity background and began spewing about how people from that area are hopeless, including their country. I am Australian with a completely different background and told her so. She ignored me and continued on.
The staff here that helped me in the past were wonderful people, but last year and this year I just had the two rudest staff members there serve me and tell me off about something I have no control of. Fortunately, the police attended, and l was able to get a police report and event number. Despite this, it's been over 4 months since the incident occurred, and l am yet to have my car assessed. I have an age related disability and my car has been modified to accommodate my disability, l can not rent another car due to the specific modifications required. The NRMA simply ignores all my requests and never returns up my phone calls, but l get put on hold for over an hour and then finally transferred to a call centre overseas only to find out they're not able to help me. They don't reply to my emails, and l spoke to the manager, and he said he would try and resolve it, but he never called back. I am absolutely appalled by their service, especially for a long-term member. They also lied to us about the requirement of an international driver's licence requirement scamming us over $100 for nothing! I will never...
