Rooty Hill Historic Site is a great spot for enjoying the Australia Day fireworks with stunning views. It’s perfect for a family picnic, with plenty of open space for sports and activities. The site is easy to access and its high altitude offers amazing views of the surrounding lower areas. Being close to ECQ Shopping Centres is a bonus, making it convenient for a day out. Great place, in the middle of nowhere, it is right behind Blacktown/Rootyhill Sports Park. Bit difficult to find, entry his Rooty Hill South Road/Church Street. There are number of playing fields used for Cricket, Soccer, Rugby and few other sports. It has a relatively big parking area, a small play area for young kids.
