Best beach 👌 to take your dog, ⛱️ beautiful water and views of Rose Bay, there is shower and restrooms , you can hire paddlebroads and kayaks from Rose Bay aquatic hire which is a the beginning of Rose Bay Beach ⛱️ this beach is one minute to New South Head Rd Rose Bay shopping 🛍 Village! Where there is many great restaurants and cafes and hotel and bar's plus Woolworths and IGA. There is Rose Bay RSL CLUB, Rose Bay Beach, located in the affluent Sydney suburb of Vaucluse, offers a picturesque and tranquil escape on the shores of Sydney Harbour. Unlike some of the more famous, surf-heavy Sydney beaches, Rose Bay's appeal lies in its calm, protected waters and stunning harbour views, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing day out, especially for families and those seeking water-based activities. The Beach Itself Rose Bay Beach is a relatively small, sandy stretch with a peaceful atmosphere. The water is often described as warm and shallow, making it safe for children to splash around. Its protected position means you won't encounter large waves, but you will be treated to breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Fort Denison, and other iconic landmarks. The beach is a great spot to simply relax on the sand, enjoy a picnic, or take a leisurely swim. Aquatic Hire A major drawcard for Rose Bay is the abundance of aquatic hire options, allowing visitors to fully explore the harbour's beauty. Rose Bay Aquatic Hire: This is a popular spot for renting stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) and kayaks. It's an excellent way to get on the water and paddle around the bay, offering a unique perspective of the surrounding area and a great workout. Point Piper Kayak & SUP Hire: Another option for those looking to hire equipment, this location is known for its range of single and double kayaks and SUPs. Paddling from here allows you to easily reach other nearby harbour gems like Shark Island and Milk Beach. Other options: Various companies also offer boat hire, including self-drive and skippered options, ranging from small motorboats to luxurious yachts, for a truly personalized harbour experience. Nearby Sailing Clubs Rose Bay is a hub for sailing, with several prestigious clubs located in and around the area. These clubs are integral to the local community and offer a range of activities for both seasoned sailors and complete beginners. Woollahra Sailing Club: Situated on the foreshore of Rose Bay, this is one of Australia's original dinghy sailing clubs. It's a fantastic resource for anyone interested in sailing, offering lessons for all ages and skill levels, from junior programs like Tackers to adult courses. The club is also a vibrant center for other water sports, including windsurfing, wing foiling, and kayaking, and is known for hosting state, national, and even international regattas. Vaucluse Amateur 12ft Sailing Club: Located nearby, this club has a long history of teaching kids to sail and fostering a strong community spirit. It's particularly focused on youth sailing and offers a welcoming environment for families. In summary, Rose Bay Beach is more than just a place to swim and sunbathe. It's a launching point for a wide range of aquatic adventures, from a casual paddle on a SUP to a more serious sailing lesson. The combination of its calm waters, stunning views, and accessible water sports options makes it a prime destination for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy the best of...

MANY IRRESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS!!

I took my dog to this beach when I didn’t know about his water obsession. He was being too loud in the water so I was carrying him out when a very large white dog (American bulldog?) started jumping on me to get to my dog. It could easily reach my chest height and nearly snatched my dog from me.

The owners had 2 other large brown dogs (Rhodesian Ridgeback?) and took their sweet time getting to me. I was in shock and focused on getting my dog out of there so I didn’t realise I was scratched all over.

Be very careful if you’re visiting this beach. It is incredibly busy and things can escalate in a...

The beach itself is no great shakes but it's the only place you can bring a dog for an off leash run in the ocean this side of Sydney. Parking can be difficult, be prepared to walk from several streets away. Watch out for parking restrictions, and Rangers as dogs are not allowed off leash on the streets or in the nearby Park. Most of the beach vanishes at high tide so check the tides before you go. If you're looking for swimming for small children this beach has a gentle slope and virtually no waves so it's ideal for toddlers, but will probably bore more...
