One of Sydney’s great coastal walks, the easy Hermitage Foreshore track offers up stunning views of Sydney’s harbour, islands and icons. I started at Queens Beach entrance check out Queens Beach taking photos walked to little tangara beach took more photos than to hermitage point beach more photos than to Strickland House and milk beach more photos it was a enjoyable day

Be sure to take your camera as there are plenty of photo opportunities along this walk; you’ll be able to see Shark Island, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the grounds of Strickland House along the way.

You can start the walk at either Bayview Hill Road or Nielsen Park and whichever way you walk, a stop at Nielsen Park is a way to spend some time. There are gorgeous views to enjoy, lots of grass for spreading out a picnic blanket and the peaceful sounds of birdsong and waves lapping...

The stunning, picturesque secluded jungle just next to the city. Never thought we had such a beautiful place in the heart of the concrete jungle. Hermitage Foreshore Walk is a short 1.8 km walk with a mostly flat surface but very refreshing and picturesque. Well-maintained path with railings on places for support, but it is not disability friendly.

Also, bear in mind that no drinking water and toilets are available along the way. A toilet is available only in Neilson Park.

Plenty of parking is available at Neilson Park, but not much at Bayview Hill Road. Parking is free. Since it's a coast, it can be windy sometimes, so be prepared for the cold front.

It’s a hidden gem in a city, one of the must-visit places in Sydney. Go now,...

The Hermitage Foreshore Walk is considered to be one of the most beautiful walks in Sydney. It starts at Rose Bay and ends at Nielsen Park and all that time you walk on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour with brilliant views of the city and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This was particularly spectacular on a typical Sydney winter day with a cloudless deep blue sky, the sun shining brightly but with a quite cool temperature, especially when the wind is blowing. Unfortunately, from Nielsen Park to Watsons Bay, there is absolutely no signage and the walk s on residential streets with only occasional views of...
