Sydenham Green — Attraction in Sydney

Sydenham green: enclosed playground and open play area, big concrete sofa: a memoir of local residents fighting for noise pollution of airplanes and motorway, park gym facilities, toilet and big grass area for dogs, a popular skatepark across Henry Street, two partially enclosed basketball courts next to the skate park. Plenty of street parking and a assigned parking area next to playground. BBQ hot plates. Sometimes planes pass by low. Shops are around corner of Railway Road and Unwind Bridge Road. Playground is usually not busy. St Peter/Sydenham library and town hall is across the Unwins Bridge Road, you can spend some quiet time reading there after a wild play...

Sydenham Green is a great place to take kids to the playground and the dog to the dog park for a run around. It is also a great place to bring a ball and kick it around or play basketball with it or to have a picnic with friends and family or even to bring the skate board to skate at the stake park. It's a nice park which is straight under the flight path so there is generally 2-3 planes that fly over every 2 minutes. One thing I don't understand is why did they only demolish the houses where the park stands now, but they kept the ones which are 10 yards across the street?.
