The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a mix of indoor seating and a small outdoor area. It has a relaxed vibe that appeals to both locals and visitors, and the presence of regular customers gives it a community feel. However, during peak hours, the cafĂ© can feel a little crowded, and seating may be limited, which is something to keep in mind if youâre planning a visit at a busy time.
The coffee is undoubtedly one of the highlights here. Meraki uses Five Senses beans, and the baristas work with quality equipment such as a Synesso MVP Hydra espresso machine and Mahlkönig grinders. Drinks like espresso, batch brew, and pour-over are generally well-made, rich, and balanced. That said, there can be slight inconsistencies depending on the barista, so while most visits yield excellent coffee, a small number may not meet expectations.
Food at Meraki Coffee is enjoyable and has some standout items. The Crack Mushroom Cheese Toastie, Vego Butty, and Mushroom Katsu Toastie are flavorful and filling, and the pastries, including almond croissants with pistachio marzipan filling, are well-received. However, the menu is somewhat limited, and if youâre after a larger variety or more complex dishes, it may feel a bit restrictive.
Service is friendly and welcoming, but occasionally slow during busy periods. Overall, Meraki Coffee is a solid option for coffee lovers and those looking for a casual café experience. It may not be exceptional in every aspect, but the combination of good coffee, tasty food, and a warm, community-oriented environment makes it worth a visit, especially if you are...
Read moreIt's gotta be a 5â review :) The guy that greeted us was SUPER friendly and very soft-spoken. Both of us loved the dishes we ordered. My friend had the smashed avo and the size of the dish was perfect but so good, she said she could eat a second one. The mint in the dish made it really refreshing and just complimented the rest of the ingredients so well! I had the Vego Butty which was super flavourful and though I usually don't like beetroot much, it went SO well with the dish. I asked for poached instead of fried eggs and the eggs were poached just perfect. Slightly runny but on the waxey side. The coffee was great too and I like that they use cocoa powder instead of sweetened cocoa powder but have sugar on the tables. The sweetest part was that one of the girls (greek) noticed it was my birthday and offered me a free coffee. So cute and attentive. We will definitely be back....
