TLDR - falls are not worth the effort.

This whole track is a loop, so you can start either from the left (clockwise) or right (counterclockwise). I did the latter.

This pathway starts easy, but becomes rockier as you go down. Quite a number of rocky steps down - some little ones were doing it carefully. I almost rolled my ankle multiple times on the way down.

You will eventually reach a point where you have to choose to go left (complete the rest of the circuit) or right (to the Witches Falls lookout and Witches Chase Track) - I went right.

You gotta watch for the sign for the falls lookout point - if you only focus on walking without reading the information boards you will miss it (I explain where this is in my photos because I almost missed it).

The falls were the most disappointing thing I’ve ever seen. Just a trickle. Only later did I find out this is a ‘seasonal fall’ so you see nothing if the weather is dry. The effort it took to get to this point is not worth it, in my opinion.

You can choose to go on to complete Witches Chase, which is an out-and-back route, or turn back and complete the Witches Falls Circuit. I turned back and the other way back to the carpark was easier, but also a narrow, constant gentle slope up nearing to the end. I had to stop to give way to people coming down the other side.

I didn’t particularly enjoy this track. If the falls were magnificent and if the view was stunning I might still recommend it, but...

Really beautiful walk. The lookout and falls themselves are nice but there are definitely better ones. There was no water in the falls or lagoon when we went. Beautiful rainforest walk though. It seems most people walked down to the look out via the right path and back the same way. We did the whole loop and it was a tiny bit unclear at times where the path went due to lots of tree frongs on the path. People keep saying it’s an easy walk but I definitely disagree if you do the whole loop. It’s ‘grade 4’. The uphill was hard, but that could be because we went up the side without shade and it was HOT. If you aren’t a strong walker, go up and down the right hand path, but if you have good shoes and reasonable fitness the whole track is lovely and I would recommend starting from the left. Lots of cool lizards, saw a lace monitor, lots of water dragons and a...

The signage upon arrival with google maps was unclear. I had driven past before I saw that it was the entrance to the trail.

PARK SIGNAGE The trail signage once you begin walking is very clear. Stating destination and distance.

FITNESS LEVEL Teen to 30’s or Cardio Fit over 40’s it’s a stroll

40’ - 50’s Good comfortable footwear with ankle support Take your time with steps Going down will be faster than climbing back to the car park.

Over 50’s A stick would be helpful or a friend if you don’t have good balance Reasonable fitness the walk down or up no issues.

UNFIT Suggest you aim for the lookout 1.5 km Take your time walking back up. Allow 1.5-2 hours return

SCENERY Very peaceful and relaxing Witches Falls at time of review,...

When walking the loop/circuit, you have 2 options: you can start right - natural rock stairs zig-zagging down, ending the hike in a zig-zag slope back up, OR you can start left- zig-zagging slope down, ending in natural rock stairs up, your choice. We started right! It wasn't busy at all, very tranquil! Waterfall was nice and full-flowing! It was very muddy around the lagoon /lowest area after the rain, so our shoes were nice and muddy! The lagoon was not too full, but had a lot of debris around, so couldn't see too much of it. Depending on how often you stop and go, how fast you walk, and how long you spend at the viewpoint, that will depend how long this circuit takes. Had a lovely time in nature!

Really beautiful lovely walking experience. Be sure to wear proper footwear as some of the areas can be quite slippery and a little difficult to navigate if you aren't steady on your feet. Lovely outlook once you manage the trial. The way back up to the carpark is quite exhausting as it's uphill on stairs alot of the journey. Definitely gets the sweat on. But, it was beautiful and well worth it, some of the trees are absolutely massive and definitely quite magnificent to see. My ten year old daughter tackled it with no worries. It's worth noting no smoking, no pets. Would definitely go again. Great free activity that the family can enjoy.
