We were here for a wine tasting & lunch with our family. Chris was fantastic with the wine tasting & we really enjoyed it. Lunch however left a lot to be desired. The food was great, but we didn’t get to enjoy it because of the service that we received from the staff. Yes we were a group of 12 and yes it was a public holiday. But at the time that we were seated, and placed our orders and even received the wine, we were one of 2 tables that were occupied. The other table had 2-3 people. The waiter put the wine on the table and told us to serve ourselves… which would have been okay if it was a tiny little shack on the side of the road. This however is a boutique restaurant where we’d expect better service… atleast have the wine poured into our glasses. We also noticed that they were pouring wine for other tables. Yes, the waiter apologised when we brought this up but it felt like lip service and nothing more. We would have stayed longer at the restaurant but we didn’t feel very welcome.

We came here for the first time a month ago, to take my Brazilian mother out for wine. We came a little after 3pm and the lovely ladies at the winery served us a wine tasting which was Devine. One particular waitress we loved was Shaz. She greeted and treated us well, and educated us on all the wines to taste. (Plus mum felt comfortable) We left with our favourite bottle Shiraz 2021 medium. $55 a bottle - so delicious. We then came back a month later, to dine for Easter and was greeted and served by Shaz who gave us a 5 star experience. One: she remembered us, two, took photos of our experience to hold our memories forever and gave us a few more cheeky taste testers. Highly recommend this beautiful winery and restaurant. We also met the owner Dave - who throughout the whole time we were there, checked in on us, how we found the food and cared about how we felt. We sat at the best spot in the restaurant.

Chris, Marcus & the team were fantastic! We had all our families come from Canberra, Brissy and the Gold Coast for a huge family birthday party & had a wonderful, relaxing and fun time staying in the 2 houses at the winery we rented over the weekend. We loved the wine tasting and posh lunch with beautiful views at the restaurant. So many local area attractions which are so close and good for ages - the rainforest canopy walk is a must-do, & the small town has a wonderful Friday night country buzz and all the supplies we needed. We had very young children, primary aged kids and young to mature adults - all had an excellent weekend - felt like 5 days holidays! The fireplaces and amounts of spaces, green views from every room and both houses, lovely wines and outstanding food were all excellent! Well done & thanks! Memories forever. 😀🎶🍾

The venue is beautiful and food is okay. However, the service provided by the Manager who is Anna wasn't good at all. I got the Elopement Package, and we had some irregularities:

1.I believe that if a venue provide functions for weddings the manager should be more kind and pleased. Anna is not like this at all. You get the feeling that they only cares about money. Every little thing that I asked her the answer was NO, also she takes ages in replying the emails what makes so hard to organize your wedding. A clear example is that I paid a bond of $500 and my wedding was on 03/11, today is 13/11 and I haven't got my money back.

2.My package was for 20 people and I added 21 extra when I made the booking, and a day before my wedding I found out that the plan was only to put 20 chairs on the grass for the ceremony, even thought they knew the total was 41 people. Therefore, we have to pay extra $40 in order to get the right amount of chairs in the ceremony area. What it doesn't make any sense to me.

3.We agreed to take our own cake and I asked if that dis not have any cost. Anna said that it will be fine and they will serve for us for no any extra cost. For our surprise they did their job but in half. The staff served the cake on serviettes. Everyone was in sock when they saw this, it was even hard for the poor staff to give it to the guesses.

4.We took with us some cookies to put in the restaurant area and the guesses can help their self. This does not add any cost to the restaurant. However, we have to pay extra $5 per each person, just because the guesses will consume the cookies at the venue. I found this a completely abuse.

5.Two days before of our wedding she sent an email where said that we have to leave by 3pm, what was different to the quote that we got, where the venue was booked until 4pm. Luckily, I had a proof of this and we could stay until 4pm, packing everything quickly because I will have to pay extra $250 every extra half an hour.

6.The package include a coordinator, I asked if they could print a table list that I did and put some where to help the guesses to find their spot. This was not done, we have to re-ask to get the list print.

The reason of this review is not stop people of celebrating you wedding here, as I said before the place is lovely. However, the service was not professional. I recommend to get everything well explained on paper and emails to avoid a lot of stress on your wedding. Even make sure you ask for inclusions and exclusions, otherwise you will be end up paying for things that you...

Extremely horrible experience! Visited Mason Wines in Tamborine for a friends birthday to say we were left unsatisfied and annoyed would be an understatement. Booking was made for 1:45-2pm after being moved from our 12:30 slot due to no capacity for our large group. We arrived at 1:40 to the lady saying she was trying to call us to see if we were showing up. Once we sat down we waited for the rest of our party when they manager came over to tell us that the kitchen would be closing in half an hour and was our other guests showing up anytime soon, we apologised and rushed to order even sending a picture of the menu to the other guests. We all ordered by 2:10 and most of our food arrived shortly after except for two dishes, 30 minutes passed when we decided to as ask the staff where our food was, they came out and told us that the dish had actually sold out and if we had of ordered 15 minutes early we would have received it. Not only did they put the blame back on us for the dish being sold out they failed to even notify us that the food was sold out until we asked where it was. The manager came out and told us we could order anything off the menu at no cost which we did and the food was great and we though that was a great way to handle the issue however once the two last girls finally finished there meal we wanted to take advantage of the free wine tasting with any lunch meal. We went over to the cellar door at 3:30 knowing the venue closed at 4 we asked the girl behind the bar if we could still have our wine tasting which she responded sure no worries. We sat down outside and was not served for 25 minutes, by that time the girl and the manager came over to us with two very different conflicting stories as to why we couldn't have the tasting. The girl said legally she was unable to serve us the tasting because we had too many bottles of wine on the table we then had to explain to her we had purchased these bottles to take home and were not meant to be consumed on the property. The manager then said "well you're too late anyway we close at 4, you were already late for your earlier booking" we were extremely confused and irritated by his attitude and we explained the booking was for 1:45-2pm and we had confirmation in an email, he nodded us off and said sure. Most people would agree this is not a way to treat customers especially a large group who was celebrating a birthday. I will not be returning to Mason Wines purely based on the staff members...

Mason wines Very dissapointed from the start on arrival the grounds maitence over grown rubbish boxes every were really uninviting.

Arrived at the house to find them still trying to sort out the house was on time there were dirty sheets towels at the entrance door yet to be removed. Exposed wires coming from the roof.

A pond that was at our door step full of mosquitoes and bugs and giving a really bad smell.

Inside the house was smelly and could couldn't use the fire place as it was blocked off with wood from the top the ceilings had water damage to it, the floors weren't clean there was bugs and insects crawling in the house we had to buy our own spray to remove them the beds were uncomfortable and house was cold not enough blankets supplied. Heaters that didn't work fridge was only turned on as we arrived so the food we had went hot as the fridge took a whole day to get to temperature.

The door on the house lock was faulty took ages to fiddle the key into the door to open it.

When we went for a look around on the first day we were greeted buy a chef and asked what we were doing and we asked him what they do here and the way he conducted himself and his appaulling language was not very inviting to come back and have a function there that's for sure!!!

We left two beer bottles out and got charged $50 cleaning fee and tried to stich us with a $150 bill for a busted gas heater that was blown over when we arrived.

Overall the experience was ment to be wonderful as we were there for a wedding on the mountains. But this place was a nightmare to stay would not recommend it at all 'dirty and miserable' if could give a...
