I have stayed at Apollo Bay a few times during trips to Victoria and recommend the Rayville Boathouses as prime accommodation near the beach & golf course. There is a lot of history in this town that is renowned for exceptional fishing and the local boats and trawlers in the bay are a testimony to this . There are plenty of shops on the Main Street that cater for every taste & requirement ranging from pubs , restaurants, take aways , supermarkets, servos etc. The seafood co-op is an absolute standout for some classic fish n chips .
