Driving along the winding coastal road, I was constantly amazed by the stunning views of the ocean, cliffs, and lush forests. Each turn revealed a new panorama that left me in awe of nature's beauty.
One of the highlights of the trip was seeing the iconic Twelve Apostles. These majestic limestone stacks rising from the sea are truly a sight to behold. The play of light and shadow on the rugged coastline created a picturesque scene that I won't soon forget.
Aside from the natural wonders, the Great Ocean Road offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, beachcombing, and even surfing for the adventurous souls.
I also appreciated the well-maintained facilities along the road, including scenic lookouts, picnic areas, and information centers that provided insights into the area's history and ecology.

I stayed at guest houses located inland which required quite a bit of coordination. Auswalk did that for me but it would've been much nicer to just stay in guest houses along the way, like the Abel Tasman track in New Zealand or others around the world. This trail mainly suits campers, although the weather is rough and changes on a dime. The 15km stretch from Melanesia to the Gables is BRUTAL but pretty.
Was the juice worth the squeeze?...
