$6 admission. This museum is an absolute gem with so many items from the history of this industrial town and the shipping that went out of it. Half is mostly about the history of the town whereas the other half is about the nautical history and how it has affected the town with the shipping. The personnel were super helpful and they have so many pictures so if you think that you have any connection to anything in this town, chances are that it's here. My great grandfather sailed on a cargo ship from here in 1935, and yes, there are pictures of the ship in the Wallaroo harbour. I highly recommend this museum! Oh and they have a real giant squid! Super rare to see.

Wonderful viewing experience for the whole family. Ample parking, clean facilities and amenities and lovely staff. Fantastic local history and great information. I particularly enjoyed the maritime section, seeing ship models. Highly recommend a visit. Allow lots of time to explore the site.

Very friendly and helpful volunteers. The exhibits are amazing, you could easily spend a couple of hours looking around and reading all the information. The recent Open Day celebrating 50 years was a great event

This museum looks simple on the outside but is a treasure trove on the inside. There are a few buildings to explore packed full of interesting memorabilia. We spent an hour or two and then went for lunch before returning to see the rest. A must see in Wallaroo. The staff are friendly and passionate about the history of the area. A great afternoon...

$6 for adults, $3 for under 15s and free under 5 yrsold. It's a beautiful older museum, with alot of WWI&II related items, mining and shipping history. Interesting photos and memorabilia that capture culture and life for South Australians over the last 200 years. Didn't expect much, however spent well over an hour exploring and could've...
