Prince Edward Hotel — Restaurant in Wallaroo

This was our new go to local pub Nice set out Not too crowded. Last night was our last time going there. Waited one hour 40 minutes for our pub meals. Upon asking how much longer we were told she would find out, we never did talk to her again. Only so many drinks you can drink while waiting for our meal as dui is not popular with the law. No one offered any apology, in fact we’re sure to keep their distance even not collecting glasses or salad bar plates that we had been snacking on. Finally received our meals and they were ok nothing to rave about but pub standard What topped things off for us was upon leaving and complaining about time taken we were informed that they were busy and had too many orders. I stated that on a long weekend perhaps they needed to get more staff or lessen the bookings. Care factor a big zero no apologies at all. Glad we won’t be there over Easter because we wouldn’t be a meal at all in that busy time. Drink prices were not consistent either depending on the glass even though the same volume. Went on a thursday night. Arrived At 5.50pm, ordered at 6.10pm. At 7.05 asked for meal update. It will be at least another half an hour was the response. The Dining room was barely half full.

Salad bar was decent, so that helped tide the kids over

1 hour and 10 minutes from order to garlic bread arrival. 2 toddlers kids Meals (nuggets and chips) would usually be a priority, but alas, not to be.

The food ordered were not complex by any means - rare steak, chicken strips, garlic prawns, grilled chicken breast, nuggets, so the delay wasn't for creative reasons.

7.29 , 2 adult meals arrived. 7.31, first kids meal arrived. 7.34 last meal arrived. Chips were cold on all plates that had them.

Absolutely excellent service, amazing food, great spot to take the family, the kids love the big fish tank, and the food is always a crowd pleaser! But the service is just excellent always friendly and cater to all needs, such a great spot, my favourite pub in Wallaroo by far!
