East Street Jetty — Attraction in Western Australia

I am very partial to walking along the river and fishing near the jetty. If you ever have a good rain further up the Swan it pushes the salt water down towards the bridge and you can catch good size black bream. The planned area underneath the bridge is good for crabbing, which I enjoyed for many years until moving away. They have a little cafe bar right on the jetty which appears to popular and just opposite of that is public toilets an art Centre and grassy park area which is good for your four legged family members. Awesome venue on the water. Service staff fast and friendly and no doubt foreign for the most part. Bar staff need to learn to look up and smile, face the guests and acknowledge them, it's free to smile and talk. Three of us stood at the bar and didn't know who is serving and were told " we are busy right now" . Girl with a bandanna on oozed attitude. She'd be gone on my books. Serene, quiet place to contemplate life, the world, hungry seagulls and the new Freo bridge under construction. Food place called Jetty nearby is fair to middling but for a rebuilt shed has great views. Stay away unless you have rocks in your head and like spending up for your alcohol.
