Had lunch with my daughter and husband for his birthday today. Lovely atmosphere and setting. When ordering, (with a smile on my face) the guy had a look of absolute indifference to me and was not in the least friendly or welcoming. It was like dealing with ‘a stone.’ I also struggled to hear what he was saying, he was so quiet. My daughter’s pizza was great and my husband’s chicken burger, delicious. However, the MUSHROOM BURGER I ordered was very disappointing as it was NOT a burger at all. It was simply a portobello mushroom with lettuce, cheese and Caesar dressing on a burger bun. To me a mushroom burger is a patty made by a person using ingredients such as chickpeas, oats, onions, garlic, herbs etc, and chopped mushrooms of course, which I make myself, sometimes. Should not be described as a ‘burger’ in my opinion. Very misleading. The SMALL serving of chips with it were delicious but a rather ‘rationed’ portion size. I went back later to order dessert and coffees and the other young guy who served me was the total opposite. Like he should be - smiling, friendly, helpful etc. The ‘wait’ staff were very polite and friendly and the service time...

Food and atmosphere were great, good quality and service size with lovely views and set up.

Unfortunately it's the service that was the let down, we had booked a table for a special event when we arrived it was very difficult to get a staff member to assist in telling us where we would be seated one quickly checked then pointed outside without showing which table, to clarify we asked again which is when she walked about half way over and pointed to a table with people sitting there and then she left we then had to go over to our booked table and get them to move ourselves which was not ideal. Everything is self service menus, cutlery and water, when we asked her if she could grab us a jug of water for the table she said no and threw back attitude and then reluctantly went and got it. The table we booked also had the previous people who were seated there's food left overs which no one collected.

On an odd note we had a separate server try constantly to take stuff from the table full glasses of drinks etc and when I asked him not to take a plate of food away he took it anyway after asking three times not to.

It was all a very odd...

A few weeks before our daughters 18th we went to look at the function rooms and trial the food and service. We were happy with the food and the function room so the next day we rung the event coordinator to ask questions and book. We spoke with the coordinator 4 times before our daughters birthday to double check and ask questions. On the night we arrived early to set up as were told we could. We were told previously that if we signed for girls and they had a band put on them and stayed 2m away from bar it was all fine. We got to the room which was a eighth of the size of what we were shown previously and not what is advertised on the website. There is no way 30 people would fit in a room. then the manager came and said we had to leave as the girls had to be with there parents !! We had pre paid and ordered platters. So we had to ring all the guests and find a another venue, which to say the least was very stressful. We had some guests travelling from Margaret River. We were not offered a apology at all. Very...

Was busy but understaffed. Went with our two dogs. Entered found a seat in the out door court yard, got drinks, read the menu, ordered food, had our table cleared of the last groups glasses and plates. Which all took between 20 - 30 min. Then the manager came over and told us that dogs aren't allowed and they would need to be tied up on the foot path. We said we would leave but since the food hadn't arrived can we be refunded. They said no as it was about to come out. So we asked for it to be packed to go, which they did. So we sculled our drinks and ate next to the river. Not the most enjoyable lunch out. The manager was well mannered, but surely one of the other staff could have informed us on the way in.

It's a beautiful location and I enjoyed the music. The popcorn chicken in the kids menu was a massive let down. Chicken bits were too big to even be called a nugget, let alone popcorn chicken. I found it to be spicy as well, which is a terrible idea for a kid's menu. Also, it comes with an unannounced salad, the rudest way to serve salad, particularly on a kids menu. Also, although not burnt, the chicken was definitely crispy and dark brown. Service was a bit slow and the person who took our order seemed quite inconvenienced by us asking for food. My mouth is burning, I ate basically zero chicken, and everyone else in my table of 7 was not impressed by the meh food.

There for a private function. I did notice that there were quite a few different functions going on and it looked like they were separated very professionally and also catered to. Ample security and staff onsite, with no trouble at all. Staff services were very prompt, friendly and professional, as too were the security team onsite. There was a DJ earlier in the night with a Band performing after the meal time. Availability to mix and mingle as well dance in front of the Band. Live sport also being shown throughout the venue. A reasonable amount of parking available as well as an easy pick-up area for taxis, ubers and for friends.
