Our rating is for the food and services we received. It was Friday afternoon, work is over, and time to unwind, relax, and have an early feed. Parking at the back is quite tight for larger vehicles. There weren't many bays, so be aware of this. We arrived at 3.45pm and ordered our drinks and meals. Our entree arrived 30min later. The pork sliders were good. Tender meat and tasty. Our drinks arrived reasonably timely. However, the main meals arrived around 5.15pm. While waiting, no one came around to apologise or ask if we were OK. Normally, if you ordered entrees and main meal, someone would check and ask if you want the mains to be served next. Anyhow, we were hungry, but the time it arrived. We paid $110 for the shared board, which consists of 400g of rib eye on bone with half small Cray fish and 8 baby potatoes. We had to order separate greens. For that amount, we expected good quality steak..however it was so chewy for a medium rare. Again, we weren't impressed with the quality and timeliness of our order. Fremantle is a great area, so many competitive restaurants with established resputations. For shared boards for that amount they could have done it better. Sad to say, we've had better steaks elsewhere. The view, if you choose to sit in the patio, is amazing. You will get a glimpse of the water and beauty of Fremantle. It would have been great if someone had come out and checked on us since the main meal was delayed, or even better, asked us how our food was. Certainly more room for improvement. Will we recommend the hotel? Yes, why not. Go for it. We didn't stay at the hotel, so we can't provide feedback. Will we go back there to have meals? Definitely a big No. There are other restaurants with great service and amazing food for that amount or even less. Will we recommend the restaurant? Try the other restaurant first so you can compare it. If others are fully booked, then take risks on trying this one. Maybe the other dishes are OK.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We had a ground floor room right next to the pool. There were quite a few families staying as well which created a fun atmosphere. It was great that they had a shallow part of the pool that our daughter could play in and that noodles were provided. The room was great and the facilities were very modern and clean. The complimentary laundromat was convenient. The restaurant was amazing. We just had dinner here to have a relaxing night, but the food was so good we stayed in again instead of going out to Fremantle centre. The gnocchi was fire! Couldn’t go back to Melbourne without having it for the second time. The location of the hotel was a bit further out from the centre of Fremantle but it’s a nice walk and a quick drive.

The tradewinds bar by Hubble St is hosted by an incredibly talented cocktail artist named Scott who created easily one of the top 5 cocktails I (a heavy enjoyer of cocktails) I have tried in my time. The 'peach fuzz' has a significant resemblance to the classic sugar coated peach heart lolly we have all enjoyed throughout our childhoods.

The Pub with No Beer! I asked for a pint of Heineken ($14) but the waiter advised that the pub had run out of beers - well the beers I wanted anyway - so I had to make do with wine instead!! Not happy Jan!! Before we came, we checked their menu on their website which was pretty impressive - sadly when we sat down having ordered drinks (sparkling water and a bottle of French Rose - $65.00) we noticed that the menus on site was very limited and all the dishes we would have ordered were missing from the very limited local menu, so we both ordered Beef Burgers ($24 plus an extra $5 if you want bacon on it). Should have taken a bottle of wine to Hungry Jacks!! I will come back later to advise our eating experience but I am pessimistic at this point 😎. Yes I am the guy sitting there with his shades on!!

Back again!! The burger (beef pattie) was generous and really well cooked - juicy n tasty - the potato fries were really moreish, well cooked and well seasoned … but after all that, my better half said she was disappointed that the website menu was not available and that she would not be coming back again, even for the burger. Me, I will not be back in a hurry to a Pub...

We live alongside this hotel. We have popped in for margaritas and had fun, many times. Imagine our surprise on George Street festival day when, in the evening about 8pm we decided on dinner there. There were a few punters enjoying the night air and we were looking forward to spending, as I always am. We told a waitress where we were sitting and ordered margaritas 🍹. A little over 20 minutes later, she came passed and asked us if we'd finished our drinks...... The fact she didn't know or hadn't made sure we got them was enough. We left. I have waited tables, cooked, tended bar and hosted for over 40 years. From Vegas, London, Sydney, Berlin, Paris, and L.A. Even Fremantle, at " The Cellars" in High Street, as a young man. Hospitality is just that, but in this country, it's a hard pill to swallow. With only us as diners, there was no excuse for this, however busy they might have been, it was a restaurant in a hotel and it wasn't even 8.45pm. Very disappointed. I gave 3 stars for the drinks and service we received on...
