If there was an opportunity to give a 6/5 rating for the kids playground I would. It is absolutely fabulous. Worth driving to. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to access. The playground has all sorts of play items for all ages. It is kept in an excellent condition. There is a swing for any child who may be in a wheelchair which I have not seen at any other park in the local area of Albury Wodonga. The games Available to play are awesome and use all the different senses. There are picnic tables and seats for people to enjoy. There are climbing challenges, sand pit, slippery side, swings and a a makeshift boat. It us situated next to a larger parkland area which has a beautiful lake and walking path around it. There is a wood fire oven about 30 meters away which operates once a month. The toilets are exceptional for outdoor toilets. The grass is well manicured. There are at least 3 disabled parking spaces available and there is wheelchair access to all the playground sections. The climbing structure built here was actually drawn by a student at a local school who won the competition to draw a structure for the park! My most recent visit here was on a a Friday evening at about 30 degrees heat and it was not too busy at all. I cannot write enough about how good a children’s playground this one is. So very very worth a visit. Grab the kids, get in the car and enjoy the fun...
Read moreIt's a great place for families to take children. With safety gates, it makes an area for small children that much easier for parents or carers . This area has seen many changes, and the site development is impressive. Toilets are not really close, but they are above the flood level and large carparking area. The area was clean. Thankfully, most people are responsible and either taking the rubbish with them or using the bins provided. Wasps were there, and so were traps for the wasps. I found getting around no issue even though I am on crutches. Sign reminding us of mosquitoes and to use repellent and common sense. People just go for walks through the area as it's so beautiful. Others are walking dogs. With wildlife in water, ducks, geese, swans. And several bird species there, it's lovely. It's possible to walk around the whole area, taking in Sumsion gardens,Belvior Park, the dog off leash yard, another toilet block, and seats and tables for picnics. I have enjoyed this area...
Read moreThis is the 2nd best playground I’ve ever come across. It was amazing. Had absolutely everything, from toddler through to adults. All split into various areas, a wheelchair accessible fort divided into two sections, the junior area that was fully gated, and a section for older kids to run wild. There was a swing area that included a wheelchair swing, a climbing area, exercise area, flying fox, a natural playground, a modern climbing fort, a climbing rock/wall, a ninja course, mountain of shade and table/seating options, a pizza oven. Highly...
