The Goods Shed — Restaurant in Wodonga

Wow! What a super cool, chilled out place to have a beer and some snacks with friends. Craft beers only, but what a selection - over 50 to choose from - and they offer a sample crate of six tap beers of your choice so you can sample some of the many available. The food is also great. We started with the shared cheese and cold meat platter and thoroughly enjoyed it. We then went for the fish & chips (barramundi) and polenta chips. But the pizzas and burgers being delivered around us all looked great. The building is the old railway goods shed, which provides a very comfortable but industrial feel. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The water misting fans are a great idea on a hot day. The staff are super friendly and make you feel very welcome. If you intend visiting The Goods Shed regularly, and like sampling a variety of craft beers, why not try their Fridge. Bingo (ask the bar staff for details). Arrived with my family at 7 Pm got told straight up the kitchen was closing in 30 minutes and to order straight away, while some of my family were still eating they started to clean up plates (anyone with restaurant experience knows you don’t remove plates until the whole table has finished) then at 8:15 half way through my last drink I was interrupted and asked if I had paid my tab and I replied I will when I finish my drink as the place wasn’t due to close until 9. I felt like we were getting pushed out of somewhere that we had come to relax, no wonder it’s a bit of a flop with inconsistent trading and closing. Are you looking for a casual place for some cheeky beers? Are you looking for pizza worth every cent that you spent? Well damn you need you to rock up to this little gem. Tucked away in the old wodonga railway lines youll find a bulls* great range of craft beers. But you know what tops that? The god damn pizzas! I had the extra hot El Diablo and where the spice was not over the top, overall the pizza was fing delcious!! Am i paying for it the next day? Yeah a little. But f* me it is worth every second because its more time to reflect how great that pizza was. You want more you greedy sods?
