Kunsthaus Bregenz — Attraction in Stadt Bregenz

I visited the galery for two reasons, the building itself and the exposed art. Well, the building, designed by Peter Zumthor is maybe too simple in comparison to other modern art galleries, but it is sofisticated in detail and sufaces. What makes this building a masterpiece is the way natural light is comming inside trough translucent facade. At the time I was visiting the galery, there was an exposition of Tacita Dean. Except the first floor, the rest of the floors were darkened due to the exposition, which in some way denied the concept of the building. The presented projections were interesting but hard to understand the meaning, what is the general problem with modern art anyway. I was expecting more different art-experiences and recommend the curators to organise at least two exposition at the same time, so the randomly comming visitor, as I was, don't leave with a questionmark if it was worth to pay...

Ich habe mit meiner Freundin zusammen die aktuelle Ausstellung "Wish You Were Gay" von Anne Imhof besucht und als jemand, der selten in Kunstausstellungen geht, war diese wirklich SEHR außergewöhnlich. Wir haben uns hier wirklich sehr viel Zeit gelassen, um uns auf die Ausstellung einzulassen und auch den Text über die Ausstellung zu lesen, was genau auf welcher Etage so alles dargestellt wurde und auch warum. Selbst nach dem Besuch habe ich am Abend nochmal zwei, drei weitere Texte im Internet gesucht bezüglich der Ausstellung, weil ich es so interessant fand. (Anbei jedoch das einzige Foto, was ich gemacht habe, Fotos hat hier ausnahmsweise meine Freundin mit ihrer Kamera übernommen und ich war eher mit dem Programmheft vorlesen für uns Beide beschäftigt oder eben dem Betrachten der Ausstellung.)

Je nachdem, was hier also so ausgestellt ist, lohnt es sich definitiv auch für Touristen wie mich, meine Freundin und natürlich auch andere. Sollte ich in der Zukunft wieder einmal in der Gegend sein und es gibt eine interessante Ausstellung, komme ich ja vielleicht auch wieder. Eintrittspreise sind meiner Meinung nach ebenso total okay. Auch ist es sehr freundlich, selbst für Menschen mit Rollstuhl und co., da es im Gebäude auch einen Fahrstuhl gibt. Finde es auch sehr gut, dass man hier überhaupt Fotos machen durfte, verständlicherweise aber ohne Blitz. Erlauben ja auch nicht immer alle...

A must-see for everyone interested in modern art and architecture. The personnel was extremely friendly, the toilets and the museum were clean and the exhibition by Jordan Wolfson blew my mind. You eventually have to wait a few minutes before being able to enter the last attraction (which isn't shown in the photos) but trust me, you've never seen anything like it. Definitely...
