You would think that when you go to a foreign land where no one knows you that racism would not follow you. How nieve of me. Picture this. I and my lady friend walk up to this restaurant Pier 69 in Bregenz only to be told that the restaurant is full and if we want a table we would have to wait. The person that was in front of this restaurant at 14:57 on 9.6.2025 then turned his HIS back to us. I then asked if the four (4) people before us had reservations. No, but now it is full. There was a couple behind us that overheard what this person said and walked away with us. For some reason, my lady friend said," Dankeschön", and we continued walking. Not a minute later, four (4) other parties walk up, and this person took the time to look and see if there was space for them, and strangely enough, they were seated. If it were not illegal and would have matter, i would have recorded the entire thing. My lady friend was completely calm after I explained to her what happened saying oh well, we can give our money to some place else. Which would probably be correct in any other situation. However, if people who are demonstrated against tell themselves oh well and take situations such as this lightly. Those doing the demonstration begin to think it is okay. It is NOT! I could not confront this person in the way I wanted because then I become the bad guy. So I use my words. I believe it was an outrageous abuse of the power bestowed upon him and should never ever happen to another human being. So, I will post this on every review this restaurant is on, every day, in every language to every friend and family member I have and...
Read moreWe were very much looking forward to having breakfast at pier69. The reviews were so great....HOWEVER..we were extremly disappointed, let's break it down: Service - the waitress was friendly but seemed not really interested in her guests. Service - the food gets delivered mostly by junior staff that seems not to be trained. Here are 2 examples (1) the girl who brought the food did not put it in front of each of us and then she gave the cutlery and almost hit my husband in the face with it she literally just threw everything on the table. (2) the cappuccino comes with tap water, the girl saw we have a bottle of sparkling on the table and just took the tap water back again. The second time I asked her that WE would like to have the tap water and she asked me "really", gave me the glass but not my husband. T Food: let's start with the positive, the shasuka was good. HOWEVER the etagere was not worth the money, the meet and cheese was without any love, finesse or even esthetics put on the plate. The pickled ham was in a ball, not even taken apart, the honey was if you ask returned by a previous guest and put back on my plate, it was crumbled as well as the corner was bend upwards as if someone thought about opening it...
All in all a extremely disappointing experience- not sure why it was praised so much.
The second star I do give because the cappuccino as well as the...
Read moreDefinitely not worth the money. We ordered 3 cocktails for the table; got 2. Waited 35 minutes for the next one to come. We were outside then. Moved inside to our reserved table. Was looking forward to ordering sweet potato fries. They weren't on the menu. Ordered sweet potato gratin, which was on the menu. Got sweet potato fries. Food was cold. Steak was not med rare, but med well. Our two "regular" steaks were not any bigger than the two "lady" steaks on the table. CERTAINLY not worth the price difference between the two. Ordered two cocktails. Got 1. We were sitting right next to the bar. The second one came 25 minutes later after telling the bartender AND the waitress that it had not arrived. The waitress made it herself and brought it. The waitress, by the way, tried to make up for ALL the problems. She was a champ. Except when I said I wanted to pay, she showed the entire table the amount. I thought that was so, so, so inappropriate. DEFINITELY never coming again to celebrate. It was heavily disappointing...
