FITINN Fitnessstudio — Attraction in Vienna

We were satisfied with the Kagran gym for a long time — good equipment, convenient location, and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our membership not because of the gym itself, but due to unprofessional, biased, and disrespectful behavior from a particular receptionist.

For several months, she targeted only us, stopping us every time while many others walked in unchecked. She inspected our towels, shoes, and bags in detail, looking for any minor issue. Meanwhile, many others entered with dirty street shoes or no gym bags at all — and she said nothing. It was very clear that she had a biased attitude towards us from the start, even though we always had a towel and proper indoor shoes with us.

Once, we were even blocked our card from entering because my wife and I, as a married couple, used one large towel while taking turns on the same machine — something that had never been an issue before.

The final straw came when we arrived after work and changed shoes in the car (for safety reasons — the shoes were expensive and there is a notice on the lockers stating the gym is not responsible for lost items). Even though we were wearing clean gym shoes and showed our towel, we were stopped again. I offered to show the soles of my shoes or walk with her to the car — but she refused, mocked us, waved her hand in front of my face multiple times, and wouldn’t listen to any explanation.

Without a clear reason, and despite following the rules, we were denied entry and our cards were blocked. That was the moment we decided to end our membership.

The gym itself is great, and we would have loved to keep training there — but the staff’s behavior completely ruined the experience. We hope management will take this seriously — no one should feel humiliated or treated with suspicion just for coming...

some of the Fitinn studios are very well equipped and offer a variety of workout stations with the respective abo you can use all studios in Vienna and outside people tend to occupy stations way to long - the usual situation is the someone plays with his/her phone for most of time while occuping the station; if there is a group of guys working out together ig. the squat station might be occupied for the next 2 hours; Fitinn seems not to care about this problem. They rather send their people to check if people bring bags to the workout stations the flooring is covered either in carpet or rubber however both are not sufficiently anti-slippery; Exercises that require good stability are difficulut to do; Fitinn does not allow you to do them barefoot e.g. Someone stole money from my wallet which was in a locker and in my bag The security concept is - bring in your own lock or buy ours, if you dont lock things they may get stolen. I think they need to take more responsibility and equip each locker with a lock There are no water stations on the floor, you need to walk to the toilette at the ground floor to get fresh water There is a number of young people working out in the studio who do not have training experience and often perform exercise in a way that is bad for their body, deadlift is a classic. I think Fitness studios in general need to take more responsiblity for their younger clients. Its not a beneficial for neither side if someone gets an injury because of inadequatly applying...

My experience with the gym has been utterly dissatisfying. Apart from the problems that have already been pointed out by other reviewers, I have now been faced with almost 200 euro worth of charges. I was sent two emails notifying me of outstanding charges, which I unfortunately oversaw. The second I became aware of it I contacted them and asked them why I am being charged via email and the money isn't being withdrawn from my account as per usual? They replied with, we have notified you and you didn't pay on time so therefore you will be contacted by the debt collection agency. Today I'm faced with 200 euro worth of charges, because I didn't see an email? There has been no attempt made on their side to treat me as a costumer and explain why there was an error in their system. I was simply relayed to the debt collection agency. The absolute lack of compromise or any attempt to negotiate is simply appalling from a business of their stature. If this happened to me I wonder how many more people are getting blatantly scammed through dodgy bureaucracy. Please do yourself a favor, and register with a different gym.
