Pros: Interesting artifacts, not a busy museum which allows you space to explore, inside a beautiful building in a beautiful area of the city Cons: So many bizarre things I have not encountered at any other museum. First of all, I visited during a very warm day in August. They didn't have AC on and even on the thermosats visible in several rooms, you'd see the temperature was at least 26 degrees. You have to pay extra to take photographs and as I opted out of that, I was followed from room to room by attendants who watched me the entire time, which was extremely uncomfortable. At one point, one of these young women was watching videos on her phone while in the room with me which was obviously distracting. But worst of all: the woman's bathroom (there's only 1 on the first floor) was like something out of a horror film. Dirty, out-dated, poor lighting. I never wanted to get out of somewhere faster – and yet I heard, the men's bathroom is fine. What kind of misogyny is that?

Read moreI have my handicapped card and the entry is free. I went to all other museums in Baku for free .same in other countries . Here very evil behaviour, they refused me entry, they lied that it is only for locals in that museum(it is from the ministry and the rules are universal in all national museums)
I showed them even my free ticket from the carpet museum from where I just arrived... They refused entry and were very negative to me. I am writing a complaint letter to the director and ministry. The cashiers cannot abuse the ministry rules and cannot abuse the rights of handicapped people.
The rules are written and the 3rd time I went back to the carpet museum and spoke to a superior who showed and explained all things to me.
I went 3 Times there and tried ,it is...
