Highland Park is one of the most beautiful spots in Baku, which provides the visitors a panoramic view of the Caspian Sea and the Baku City skyline. Whether you visit the place during the day time or at sunset, the scenery is absolutely awful and the spot is very clean, beautifully maintained, with lush greenery. There are few seating areas to relax and enjoy the surrounding views . Some important landmarks like the Martyrs’ Alley and the Flame Towers are here. The Highland Park is a perfect place for peaceful wandering, photography or just admiring the beauty of Baku. It is on the itinerary of all the tourists in Baku. The elevated terrace of the Highland Park can reached by stairs or funicular ride. It is the highest point in Baku. It is located in the center of Baku and provides enchanting views of the Baku bay and Baku Boulevard along the Caspian sea. The view in the evening is just amazing and when we can view the glittering Baku city and its beautifully lighted buildings. This park is also popularly known as the Dagusta Park or the Upland Park. The entry to the Highland...

5point Review Activity Duration: 30 - 60 minutes Rating: 8/10 If you are in Baku then this place is a must visit for some great views of Baku The Good: Some spectacular views. You can walk up the stairs or take the train up. The views are totally outstanding. You can see whole of Baku from her. Boulevarde, Flametowers, Caspian sea and all of Bakus beautiful buildings. Cool breeze in summer months is so soothing. There is also a monument for martyrs here The Not so Good: Nothing in particular The Wow Factor: If you have limited time in Baku then just come here to see the whole city. Take pics of the flame towers in evening with flames burning on the tower. The whole scenery, The modern and old city, artistic building and the views of Caspian sea, is picture perfect. Money Matters: Free of cost unless you take the train up for 1 Manat or dine in the restaurant at the top. 5point Experience: This is a must visit place in Baku. As Azerbaijaan is aiming for more tourism activities, this place gives visitors a glance at what to see and do. My...

Highland Park is a gem perched above Baku, offering an unmatched vantage point over city landmarks like the Old City, Flame Towers, Baku Bay, and the Boulevard. It’s one of the best spots to pause and take in the city’s beauty, especially at sunset, when the skyline transforms into a glowing tapestry of lights.

You can reach the park by funicular (just 4 minutes for 1 AZN), climb the historic limestone stairs, or drive up, there’s parking too, making it accessible for all kinds of visitors.

The park’s layout feels thoughtful and relaxed. Wide terraces, shaded alleys, and terraces built from beautiful Baku limestone were designed by architect Lev Ilyin decades ago. It’s a place that invites quiet strolling, coffee breaks, and plenty of photo ops.

At night, Highland Park takes on a special charm, its lighting, fountains, and terraces come alive, giving the space a dreamy, cinematic feel.

From a few traveler reviews on Tripadvisor, here’s what others love about it:

“A fantastic place for a walk and to see some of the best views...
