1st thing 1st staff were nice, kind and they responded my questions with pure kindness.💜

Ticket for locals coated me 5 AZN (per person).🎟️

I loved the 1st floor soo much. It was super colorful and cozy. Buuut 😄⤵️

Overall, museum was chaotic for me…There’s no guide to help you figure out which direction you need to go, so you’re walking inside the museum like a lost child. 💔

No audio guide 🎧, no introduction brochure 🙁 and there is no information about most of the paintings and only in one place, they mentioned painting’s name and each time you need to watch the artwork then come back and check the information ℹ️ in the...

This was one of the most interesting modern art museums I have ever seen. The place is packed with artworks, mostly paintings and sculptures of all sizes. The presentation is very dense, and the emphasis is on regional artists which makes this so interesting. Photos with phones are generally permitted, except in the one room that contains works by well-known international artists such as Picasso and Dali. The atmosphere is quite open, supported by a modern building with a massive atrium at the center that disperses any claustrophobic feelings which might otherwise arise due to the sheer number of pieces on show. Highly...

The museum features a good selection of Azerbaijani modern artists. The curation leaves something to be desired, though, as organization is seemingly random and a greater variety of Azerbaijani artists would be interesting to showcase some diversity. I enjoyed the experience of the ground floor greater than that of the first, in which many pieces were absent. The works by Westerners, e.g. Dali and Picasso, were nominal and hardly of interest here. It is a pity the museum has a mold/mildew problem, which can be seen on the first floor if you look to tje ceiling. I fear the damage it could render to their most...

The museum is located near Heydar Aliyev Centre. It was a very peaceful museum with beautiful artwork pieces. I really enjoyed walking around and looking at the displays. I also don't understand why other people here are saying that the museum arrangement is confusing or a mess. I think they have purposely did it that way. It's an art itself within the museum. 😁 Entrance Fee was 10 manat ($6). You have to scan your bags before entering and leave your water bottle if you have any. No flash photography. You can take photos but you cannot take photos on the second floor of the museum.

The worst organised museum I've ever been to in my entire life. Everything as much mashed nothing is labelled underneath the panning you can't tell when the artist lived or died it is a total disaster. Where is the great Dali sculpture in the museum but you have to really know what the heck you're looking for. I think the curator of this museum should be fired as he shows NO RESPECT for the artist. There are however some great pieces in there but they're very hard to find in the museum is so massively disorganized.
