Zakura — Restaurant in Baku City

Very very slow service. My food came 30mins later after serving the food of my family. They are already done and my chicken teriyaki is still not served. The waiter dont know the menu as he doesnt know that hot dishes comes with rice and miso soup. He was so confused what to serve. The chicken fried rice is extremely salty that my daughter have to mix it with white rice. After almost 40mins, my chicken teriyaki was served and the taste is not good. We ordered four rolls, freshly squeezed juices and miso soup for each one. Miso was a little empty but had great umami taste. Freshly squeezed juices felt fresh and sushi was well built, had fresh fish and the combination of tastes from the sushi was delicious. Soy sauce had a delicate taste which added to the experience. Teriyaki was even made on the spot!

Food was excellent, tasty and fresh. We ordered several types of sushi and miso soups, it came in authentic Japanese cutlery and the quality was very good. Particularly we loved the matcha creme brulee. The service and professionalism of waiters made our experience even better. We are definitely going to come back again to Zakura Restaurant.
