A stunning place, on a par with some of the great cathedrals of the world. stunning architecture and rich history, a gem of a place to just go to and relax. It has a nice little museum attached which is mainly in dutch, but you can get a translate app on your phone, I did that with google translate and it works enough to understand what you're seeing, or you could get an audio guide.

Glad didn't make special trip and have to pay just to see a very small garden full of school children and Uni students (who as locals had found the free entry through the adjacent courtyard.) It is possible to access the garden for free via the children's museum. The garden features as a key element in many guides and reviews. Don't pay.

Read moreVery nice abbey to stop and visit. The church hall is vast and decorated like most Catholic churches, they have a 'treasure room' with old church artifacts to behold. Next door there's some options to eat, a breakfast (buffet) or at a restaurant. There's a small, free exhibit which leads to a nice big garden. They have the option now to have parties or celebrations in the abbey, which I find positive that the building is being used still instead of just being a sight.
