Summary: Beautiful building with a nice, spacious terrace. Good Franco-Belge food with friendly service. A nice selection of Belgian beers! Came here for lunch with a group and we had the menu. I chose the Ballotine au volaille and soufflé au grand marnier. A cup of wine is included but frankly I prefer the local beers because the wine isn't very good. The ballotine was good but it was dry, possibly overcooked (?) luckily there was some sauce around it to give some moisture to the dish. The sauce had intense flavors so that was very pleasurable to eat. The gratin was delicious! I loved that they baked it in that shape, it meant more crispy layers outside and soft, creamy potatoes inside🥰 The dessert was surprising because I was expecting a soufflé but an ice cream came out so the name was confusing. Anyway, It was an ice cream with notes of orange and a shot of grand marnier. I didn't like it that much but given the hot weather, it was pleasing to eat.

2023.08//We were pleasantly surprised by the taste of the dishes: interesting recipe of mussels with crab sauce, and an absolutely delicious crab ravioli dish, for which I would come back here. as a dessert we chose “Ile flottante” and Strawberry with ice-cream, which were balanced in taste and aromas. It’s a nice and cosy atmosphere inside, a little bit to warm for my taste, but we had no other option considering that the terrace was closed and it was raining anyway.

Que dire qui pourrait rendre justice à cet endroit ? La question est difficile. Nous sommes allés avec des amis là-bas pour découvrir le lieu, et apprécier un bon repas. Nous n'avons pas été déçu et avons parlé de ce repas pendant plusieurs jours. Le traditionnel Entrée-Plat-Dessert, sans attente excessive et avec un personnel accueillant était déjà très efficace. Mais cette simple efficacité a été sublimée par une cuisine vraiment excellente. Mon plat (et ma recommandation personnelle) était le "Filet pur de boeuf irlandais flambé au cognac", une pièce d'une tendresse et d'un goût incroyable. La seule chose que je peux reprocher à cette Brasserie de Namur n'est même pas une chose qui est dépendant de leur volonté. Je vais peut-être faire un peu faire preuve de mauvaise foi, mais le seul problème que j'ai pu trouver, après mûre réflexion, c'est les possibilités pour se parquer. Je sais que ce n'est pas un reproche vraiment juste ou crédible, mais je n'ai tellement rien à redire sur le repas qui montre la définition du mot "Cuisine", le cadre qui montre le raffinement, ou l'amabilité du personnel de salle qui sait répondre à toutes les questions qu'on leur a poser. Quand on en vient à ne pouvoir à critiquer que le parking, ne tient-on pas une pépite de la gastronomie ? Pour moi, oui... Et une chose est sûre: j'y retournerai !

This was a terrible dining experience!!! I asked 3 times if the cheese croquettes are home made, they confirmed me 3 times they were. I ordered 3 cheese croquettes, 9 EUR a piece each, 27 EUR in total. When I received them on my plate I was shocked because they just fried deep frozen cheese croquettes I buy in my local shop for a fraction of the price! Even worse, they fried these croquettes for way too long, they were almost black! My girlfriend ordered vol-au-vent and complained the sauce was acid, she felt sick the whole evening after the meal.No idea why this place gets any good...

Excellent Belgian fare in a great place with excellent service and atmosphere. We had sweetbread and sardines as starters and Belgian meatballs and mussels for mains. Special shout-out to the Thai style mussels ... which is kinda unfair to the rest, as everything was REALLY great! Excellent wine too (Chablis). At the end we had a 16 year old Lagavulin and sweet Alsace wine, which were offered to us for free (whaaaat!) Did I mention the great service - thank you, guys (and sorry for not getting your names!) - they really made us feel great and have one of these...
