What started as the Hubbard Street Mural Project in the 1970’s lead by artist Richard Alonzo and painted by young Chicago artists, has been worn by time and damaged when Union Pacific repaired the tracks. Now known as the B_Line it is curated by artist Levar Hoard, who has brought local as well as international urban artists to paint panels and surrounding alley & viaducts. Always something new and hopefully will get landscaped by the City with sidewalk, bike path access.

I love street art and this did not disappoint! There are many more murals than the pictures here show. There are also some other murals in the area that I saw while driving around. It was in a nice, quiet area and I had no problems finding a place to park along the street for a little while to explore all of the artwork. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves graffiti and street art!

Close to a mile of 10-12 feet tall murals in different styles (a lot of amazing pop-art!) along the side of the walls of an elevated train track. Stretches on for pretty long, but you have to walk on the dirt path because it is not paved.

Hubbard Street and the murals are definitely a place that should be on everyone’s list of interesting places to visit in Chicago. The artwork is outstanding, certainly thought-provoking and very colorful.

Wonderful local art along a not-very busy street. Took less than 10 minutes at a slow pace to walk the couple blocks. Beautiful

Found by chance but there is some amazing art down here. Can’t wait until spring to go back and be able to slow walk by it all.
