UPDATE December 2022. Nothing has really changed at this facility. Perhaps they shampooed the carpets and yes they moved some of the games around. The kids air hockey is now downstairs with the kids other stuff and everything else looks the same to me. Even though it's a little old, Castle Fun Park is still a lot of fun for kids of all ages. When we lived in Langley, I occasionally took my daughters here for the batting cage and now that I live in Abbotsford, I bring my grandsons for the little kid activities. TIPS to save money: Preschoolers have fun on the older age video games even if you don't swipe your card. They can't tell the difference and quite often the actual game is too loud or scary. Of course I don't recommend doing this when it's busy and definitely not when people are waiting for the game. Deadstorm Pirates, Transformers, Batman and Nascar are family favorites. ACTION GAMES Best value for little ones is the small Air Hockey. The air stays on for a long time and preschoolers even enjoy scoring on themselves so they can retrieve the puck from the hole! EATING Bring your lunch or takeout to eat in the huge eating area, it's nicely decorated to please children. If the birthday party area isn't full, you can eat there and enjoy the mechanical animal music show (old school Disney style). If it's too noisy inside, we sometimes go to the east edge of the upper parking lot and sit on the "river" bank. IT'S FREE to check out the flowers outside which are nearly always well maintained and colorful. Even simple things like the mirror on the staircase landing generate smiles...
Read moreHonestly disappointed, I remember coming here as a kid and it was the coolest place and was so fun had so much to do there. But I went there the other day and it just stank the whole place smells like urine and a lot of the games are out of service. Place was packed and there was massive lines for every game and kids where just pushing there ways to the front of the lines and there parents did absolutely nothing and just let them do this. Now I know that’s not the places fault but they should have a limit of people because at that point it’s not fun waiting 15 minutes to play a game than some kid comes and just takes it. There’s multiple places off limits due to construction (the batting cages and the outdoor walking areas) place is old and rundown. Unorganized, overwhelming and way too loud. If you’re a person who gets easily overwhelmed or has anxiety do not go here. Now for the go carting area , it’s completely unorganized and the staff does not help with helmets they just throw them on a table for you to take yourself. They should be more clear and the lines were so long I waited 20 minutes to go on and ended up leaving because we couldn’t get a helmet everyone was just in the way. If you want an actual nice arcade to go too go to the one in Surrey it’s the central city fun park. It’s way larger and new. I would not go here again I’m highly disappointed as I remember this being such a fun place. Even the photo booth was out of service. They need to fix up the place and get new games there all...
Read moreI was a little skeptical when my boyfriend suggested we celebrate my 25th birthday here, but I'd never been, so I thought why not? Turns out I had more fun than I ever could have imagined possible!! Where to start? The go-karts are super fun, but a little on the slow side. But that's ok, because they're meant to be fun for all skill levels. I was nervous to try the batting cages, but found out I'm actually decent at it. The RC boats were a little silly, but I feel like they put a lot into the display, which makes up for it. The bumper cars were a major highlight! I laughed so hard smashing into my friends, and they're not the kind that jerk around, so they're easy on your back and neck. The shooting gallery is fun, and the display is well made. The arcade games are pretty standard. The mini golf was fantastic, but I got injured by a pack of wild children running around hitting balls in every direction with no intention whatsoever of playing the game. I feel like there should be a staff member present to prevent this sort of thing. The underwater golf and jungle golf are both fantastic, but I definitely enjoyed the underwater theme a bit more. I haven't tried the outdoor golf, but it looks pretty neat. If you are a kid, or just a kid at heart, definitely check this place out. You won't be...
