Fishtrap Creek is a great park. There is a walking loop, washrooms, baseball diamonds, and a playground too. I often see photographers here with wedding parties or families. There is a lot of open, sunny space, but the trails are nice and cool in the summer, as there is a large lake/ wetlands and plenty of mature trees. The trails also connect to another system of trails, and one can walk from one end of Abbotsford to the other with minimum roads and traffic. The playground is fairly large with swings, slides, and other equipment. There are benches too and other seating for picnics or just waiting for the kids.
UPDATE boardwalk now broken. Hard to navigate...
