This is the place to go for a great variety of food at a very fair price. In a post-lock down era, I’m happy to see they have stayed competitive with pricing. First, the service is unrivaled compared to other restaurants in the area. With how busy it can get, the staff does a fantastic job at making sure you are taken care of and check in on you very frequently. Foodwise, on top of the Chinese basics (chow mein, s&s pork, fried rice, rice noodle, wonton soup, Buddha’s feast, etc), they also have a few dim sum items (siu mai, and zongzi) which is refreshing to see as these aren’t as common to see the further east you go of the Valley. You’ve got your western staples as well (fried chicken drumsticks, onion rings, fries, etc). But the dish that stands out the most to me, is their black pepper beef; its one of their most popular items because the tray usually gets emptied fast, but thankfully the kitchen always stays on top of it and replenishes it with a nice fresh batch. A very close second is their chili potatoes which are just so flavorful. Maybe they’ve rotated a few items around between the lunch and dinner buffets since the previous time I’ve been here, but I missed the chicken curry, and chicken balls. There also used to be pork springs rolls beside the veg ones.

I cannot say enough good things about Mandarin Garden. My friends and I are regulars, and for good reason. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the friendliest, most accommodating staff. The entire Mandarin Garden team embodies genuine customer care, understanding, and service. They make us feel like we're a part of their family. The way they've taken the time, the thought, and the effort to get to know us on a first-name basis is heartwarming. They treat us well, are intentionally relational and have a great sense of community. Their food is just as good. I'm Chinese. I eat a lot of Chinese food. Take it from me, Mandarin Garden offers some pretty authentic Chinese food. At the buffet, you'll be greeted with an impressive selection of Asian staples coupled with go-to western style favourites. There really is something for everyone. I trust that you will be fully satisfied with their menu items in terms of quality and quantity. To Cara and the Mandarin Garden team, we love you and look forward to seeing you again. Thank you for all that you do.

Was lovely at first, me and my partner were regulars and enjoyed the place up until the other day. I went to have some mussels and found this parasite looking insect. Me and my partner lost our appetite after looking at it for over 15 minutes trying to figure out what kind of mite/parasite it was while waiting for someone to come around. Our waitress was lovely about it and told us it was a crab, We then talked to the owner and she was very rude and disrespectful. She disregarded everything we said and said she’d give us a 15% discount (3$) our total came to 44$. Mind you, we had 1 small plate of food each prior to the incident. She then compared the restaurant to McDonald’s but at least McDonald’s would give us a full refund.

Standard chinese buffet, too bad not many of these places exist anymore. It reminds me of the Chinese buffets you'll find across the border. The service was very friendly and efficient. There was a good selection of food. There was a small salad bar and one main buffet line with a variety of choices. The food was delicious, and the quality is what you would expect of a buffet. I only took a star because there was no pizza. Maybe times have changed, but I always remember pizza was a staple at a Chinese food buffet. If I'm in the area again, I would def return.

greeting staff Give a good welcome, smile, come and see from time to time, ask questions, take good care of them. The place looked clean and tidy and the atmosphere was quite good. As for the food, it's colorful and appetizing. The taste isn't bad. The staff constantly fills the trays with food. There are many condiments to choose from. Price was reasonable. Food is buffet style, no time limit, can be refilled continuously.
