My rating is purely based on Customer Service via phone...During my employment at TPB More Madness was one of my Go-to stores for items that TPB either; didn't carry, had but was out-of-stock, or the customer was looking for a different style/effect. Most customers would call or return to let me know how AWESOME the owner, Brenda, was and how she 'saved the day' by having exactly what they were looking for... as for myself...when I called the store Brenda was almost always available to talk to me and help me find items for my customers...Brenda never hesitated to go on the floor or search the stock room for me....and when she was busy with her customers I would just leave a message and she would always return my call....she has also referred her customers to TPB...In my opinion Brenda has raised the standards of Customer Service to a whole new level...where the end goal is not just about profit it's about service ....now after reading these wonderful reviews I will definitely be visiting this store soon....Thank you More Madness Costumes for the customer referrals...for having what TPB customers needed and giving them quality customer service...Most of all Thank you Brenda...for being...
Read moreGood selection, somewhat helpful staff, and convenient hours so that's where the 2 stars are coming from. The rest was just an overall frustrating experience - even after leaving. My boyfriend and I paid $200 for costumes and mine fell apart throughout the night. Buttons came off of my gloves, holes showed up in the finger part of the gloves, fabric on the dress was ripped in places it shouldn't have. I suspect it was ripped or had holes in it when I bought it and I just didn't notice. Generally speaking, the quality of the costumes were low-quality and WAY overpriced. Finding the costumes was really tricky too since there seems to be no rhyme or reason for where things are. The place is packed with stuff so it's tough to navigate, especially when there's a crowd. And when there was a crowd, I overheard one of them rushing people to pick a costume as there were too many people. Their policies were also really confusing and weren't followed by when it came time to pay. We'll be looking...
Read moreWow!! What a hidden GEM! I had no idea there was a costume store so close to where I work (near Metrotown). What an awesome customer service experience!! Brenda was soooo helpful. I can imagine her level of service would be hard to maintain during a busy hallowe'en season. But, on this weekday after work it was amazing. I could not believe how many costumes and accessories she had. You can purchase or rent. I gave her a list of what I wanted and she took me around and showed me the options. There is so much packed into her space - you are far better off to go with a list and ask for help to find what you need.
