This has been one of my favorite shows to go to for years; however, the main director or teacher/brain coach was increasingly aggressive and rude during last night’s performance. Berating the actors in front of the audience. Not a behavior that I can do or appreciate what I’m trying to enjoy comedy even if he thinks he was trying to be funny. It sounds like a couple of the actors crossed his boundaries as far as comedic style for adult humor, and you could tell that the actors were subtly rebelling by putting on more awkward scenes. I really feel the show after this many years needs a bit of a revamp with more improv games and more organization. More audience interaction would be awesome. For instance the second half of the show called gorilla was amazing when the other improv actors got a chance to direct. One of my personal favorites is Granville Island theater sports in Vancouver. They have a lot of diversity in that show which keeps it fresh and entertaining. One particular improv game that I love to watch is one called scene. Actors are given a scene they have to act out with some sort of theme and the audience shouts out words that they have to incorporate into the scene seamlessly. Or the audience can yell scene and they have to change the entire environment that they’re in but continue doing the same thing. That could be a fresh spin on things amongst other games they could play. Hoping to see them continue to thrive and evolved as the years go on and would still go back despite last night‘s...

From the moment I stepped into the theater, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure that every guest felt welcome and comfortable. Their passion for the arts was evident and added an extra layer of excitement to the evening.
The quality of the performances at Loose Moose is nothing short of outstanding. The talented performers delivered a stunning show filled with energy, emotion and sheer brilliance. It was evident that they poured their hearts and souls into their craft, creating a mesmerizing experience for the audience. The level of professionalism and dedication displayed by the cast was truly commendable.
The only thing I would change about this theater is the stairs to the top. They are extremely slippery. I would personally invest in a solution to help with the winter.
In conclusion, Loose Moose is an absolute gem in our local arts scene. It offers an enchanting blend of talent, creativity and passion that is hard to find elsewhere. Whether you're a theater enthusiast or just looking for an unforgettable night out, I wholeheartedly recommend Loose Moose. Prepare to be captivated by their extraordinary performances and leave with a renewed appreciation for the arts.

Read moreWhile this is in the crossroads market building, it is on the opposite side from the market main entrance. There is also parking on that side, including at least 1 accessibility spot.
Enter through the door at the back corner of the building, then climb a flight of stairs. Follow the signs.
The tickets are a very affordable $19.00-ish each, and the night we were there, there were plenty of good seats available.
We were there for a Saturday night Improv. There were four of us, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
I did not see an elevator up to the theater, so I'm not sure if it is fully accessible. If you can not make it up a flight of stairs, phone to ask about this before buying tickets. There are "accessible" seats (i.e., no stairs required) in row A, and I believe the theater could accommodate wheelchairs on that level... As I said, as long as you can get to that floor in the building. There are stairs to get to any of the other seats, and there were no handrails, so if that won't work for you,...
