Love love this place! I have purchased Nigerian and Indian gift boxes for my friends from those areas and they are amazed at the quality of spices The Spice Merchant imports. I can't rave about this place enough! From their selection of salts that make any breakfast a gourmet meal to their authentic 'grandma' recipe spice blends that will elevate any meal. I asked about Chilean Merken and it took some time but Stephen was able to source it out and I must admit, it's my go to for any bbq or roast that needs a smokey kick. Stephen, Mary, Chelsea and Bob are always willing to help the decisive customer to recommending a new blend Stephen brought back from his latest adventure as a travel photographer. The pride and care these people take in ensuring the best quality is put in front of you to make your families traditional meal or trying something new is nothing I have seen in Calgary or Canada before. When my friends tell me the spices taste better then what they bring from 'back home', you know they are doing something right. I can't say enough about the Spice Merchant. If you haven't tried them or are convinced the other shops in town are 'just as good', I challenge you to give them a try.
