The scenery is beautiful, the lighthouse is very cool. We parked in the dirt parking lot. There were a pair if teenagers hanging around a shack in civilian clothes. It turns out they were supposed to be there, and were the curators to the park.
Anyway there is a series of old ladders that you need to negotiate to get to the lighthouse. The first two look worse than they are, some rust, but quite solid. The third and final ladder is in worse shape. One railing is quite loose and the entire ladder lists to the left. We traversed it fine, but I could see others having trouble with it.
There is no path from there to the lighthouse itself, so you'll need to climb over the seaweed covered rocks.
When you finally reach the lighthouse it's quite beautiful, you can see very far and the surrounding islands are scenic.
There is a rocky beach between the first two ladders that is cool, and has many good skipping rocks.

Read moreGreat little lighthouse located a two minute drive into Canada from the United States. The area is well-maintained and there is a dirt parking lot. There is a porta potty on site, but it is not a handicap porta potty. Getting to the lighthouse was a quick 32nd walk from the parking lot. There is a little shed next-door.
