Without question the worst showing I have ever had the misfortune to view. Uninspired, dull and 10th grade. Amateurish to the extreme. Endless poorly painted pieces of mountains, glaciers, trees and rivers. This is not an acceptable standard - nowhere near. The subject matter seriously limited. What places like the Pearl Ellis Gallery do is normalize bad art. It tells people it's OK to get the brushes out , stare at a mountain and throw together garbage like this because someone will buy it regardless. It plays on ignorance. Setting the bar so low means that a potential artist won't improve, grow, develope, explore.
