Crypt-Tic Escape Room — Attraction in Courtenay

This is the place my daughter wanted to host her 11th birthday party. It was a great place to entertain a group of 7~ 5th graders. Some of my daughters friends ran late trying to find the address and the staff there were rather understanding although they started the other kids in the room without them and let them join when they showed up. However the cost was $20 per kid. There was no before or after crypt entertainment and the kids were completed in 40 min. For me as a single mom paying $140 to entertain 7 kids for 40 min is outrageous. I feel like they should have b-day party packages or extend the entertainment factor for the...

We were super disappointed with our experience. What started out as a fun and challenging game, was completely ruined by the malfunction of one of the clues. We spent about 10 - 15 minutes or our time repeating the correct sequence of clues to proceed, only to find out that the piece of equipment did not work properly. We even did the correct sequence in front of the manager and it still didn't work. We have been to several other escape rooms, and have never felt so...

Took my 16 year old daughter and 9 year old son and had a blast. Very challenging without being frustrating. Makes you (or at least me) think in different ways. Sure we had to take a couple hints from the great host, but that took nothing away from what was an original and very well-executed experience. We'll be following along and back when the next room is ready....
