My partner and I are new to the area and after some google searches and reading reviews we decided to treat ourselves to Mudsharks, a local favorite. When we arrived there were many customers outside enjoying the weather as it was a beautiful sunny day and we were looking forward to a nice lunch. We are both vegan and were intrigued as Mudsharks advertises that they have several plant based options to choose from. We ordered the grateful bowl, which consisted of rice noodles, spinach, carrots, red cabbage and peanut sauce, and the vegan reuben burger. My thai bowl was very basic. It was a bit watery (maybe due to the rice noodles?) with literally no sauce, flavor or seasoning. The burger was not much better. Again it was very basic with little flavor and the patty was very crumbly. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with our meals. I can't understand why Mudsharks have such high reviews when they serve food that seriously lacks seasoning, interest or presentation. I give them two stars for trying and offering plant based options but we will unlikely...

Edited 24 Dec - Worst breafast sandwich ever. Scone undercooked. Coffee was good, otherwise rating would have been 1 star for food. Aked server to speak to owner, who initially did not come out and insisted on giving a refund through the server. After i persisted the owner did come out and he was very polite and appologetic and offered a full refund. I told him i didnt want one, just to do better job at preparing the food - a soggy mircrowaved bun undercooked bacon and rubbery eggs should not be labelled as a grilled sandwich. Asked him if he could grill the bun instead of reheating in the microwave and fully cook the bacon also asked why the eggs were so rubbery. He stated he would try to do better. I accepted a coffee coupon but probably wont use it.

Note: When Iinitially wrote this I was very dissapointed and upset about the food. Wanted to give a more clear picture of the event to be fair to the owner. Also i looked at some other reviews and they do mimic what im...

The service is great and you can tell that the workers are happy and it's all good vibes here, however the food was not good. We got the Glory bowl and the Mexican bowl. Both were seriously lacking in flavor and under salted. We aren't people who need crazy amounts of salt but it seemed like there was hardly any in it. We had to bring them home and add spices and salt for it to taste good. The quality of the ingredients was good but for the prices we expected much more flavorful vegan food. I'm seeing from some other reviews that it wasn't a one-off issue. If you don't care about flavor or price and are just in it for healthy and fast with good quality ingredients then this is the spot for you!

Response to owners response: I'm sure you're able to figure out using the "lowest first" filter for reviews. There are plenty of similar ones you've also replied to. Love how you never take accountability for the unhappy customers! I will be unsurprised when your...

I love the plant-based food options. The atmosphere is real nice and the staff are great. I had the lox sandwich one day and a glory bowl another day. The sandwich was awesome with cashew cheese, and the culinary experience was like a salmon and cream cheese bagel but with plant-based things. It's masterpiece for a great price. I appreciate that they let me hang out there for a while on my laptop. I do wish the wifi was a bit faster but that's ok. Also, it would be nice if they put some kind of plant-based protein (like tempeh or tofu) in the glory bowl. I was still hungry after having that one. Overall, I'm a big fan of mudsharks cafe.

Mudsharks has recently stepped up their vegan game in a big way, no longer are they known just for great coffee. They regularly have vegan treats on hand as well as starting a special vegan dinner menu as well as hosting special vegan dinner nights to go eat great food and meet vegans in the area in a rare opportunity to get together. Mudsharks spearheaded this out of nowhere and for the delicious food alone I will always be thankful. I am excited to go more often for date night with my lady and discover more great food and maybe meet some local vegans. Thanks mudsharks!

Love their new location! Super spacious and decor is cute! The dessert prices are very good for the size and the drinks are yummy! I just wish food portions were a little bigger for the price. I had the Moroccan bowl for 17 bucks and my medium chai latte and I was still hungry.. Super tasty though! I got 3 desserts to go and had 1 drink and one bowl in their outside sitting area and it was 40 bucks 🙈 Will go back but probably just for their drinks or a dessert to go.
