You don't need to purchase advance tickets to visit this place. It's free for entry and open 24 hours. You drive all the way upto the lions lookout point on the top of the hill. Their is a small parking place on top. You can also find parking lot at the entrance of the hill near lookout sign. However, I recommend drive all the way to top if you wanna skip 1km steep hike
Breathtaking Fall Views at Lions Lookout is a Must-See in Huntsville! đ . If you're anywhere near Huntsville in the fall, a trip to Lions Lookout is an absolute must. I visited during peak foliage season, and the views were nothing short of magical. The entire landscape was painted in vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold â it felt like stepping into a postcard!
The lookout offers a panoramic view over Fairy Lake, the Muskoka River, and the town of Huntsville, all framed by rolling hills ablaze with autumn color. Whether you're a photographer, nature lover, or just out for a peaceful walk, this spot wonât disappoint.
The short hike to the top is a bit steep, but itâs well worth the effort. There are benches to rest along the way and once you reach the top, the scenery makes it all worthwhile. Itâs also a great place to watch the sunset over the colorful treetops.
Tip: Try to go on a clear day for the best visibility, and bring a camera â youâll want to capture this view.
Highly recommend visiting during the fall. Itâs one of the most beautiful places in Muskoka to experience the changing...
Read moreBreathtakingly beautiful views!!! Parking is free whether you park at the top or near the down hill. Small parking lot is available at the top however it gets full pretty fast. So better to park down the hill and walk to the lookout point. There is parking lot on the left side when you arrive. We parked down the hill and walked towards the lookout point. Lookout point is about 5-10 mins walk from down the hill parking lot. The hill is pretty steep. There are 2 roads towards the lookout point, on the right, there is a paved road and on the left hand side there is unpaved walking trail which goes through the trees. The views are fantastic along this trail. We walked up from an unpaved pathway up. Beautiful views to stop and click pictures. Once you reach to the top you will see the Amazing views of fall colours, forest, town and lake. If you are here in the evening you can capture the beautiful Sunset too. It gets really crowded in fall season. So plan your visit accordingly. Overall Beautiful place to stop by when driving through Huntsville and enjoy and appreciate the beauty of...

It's a very clean and pretty place to look down on the little town. Today is June 23rd, and it's about 80°F at 11 am. I've seen on others' reviews that it's a really nice place to chill. May is a wonderful time to go there too."Remember the following text: "Relaxing place to have a picnic with a view. Nature picnic areas, parking lot, and hikes are available in this place.
