Breathtakingly beautiful views!!! Parking is free whether you park at the top or near the down hill. Small parking lot is available at the top however it gets full pretty fast. So better to park down the hill and walk to the lookout point. There is parking lot on the left side when you arrive. We parked down the hill and walked towards the lookout point. Lookout point is about 5-10 mins walk from down the hill parking lot. The hill is pretty steep. There are 2 roads towards the lookout point, on the right, there is a paved road and on the left hand side there is unpaved walking trail which goes through the trees. The views are fantastic along this trail. We walked up from an unpaved pathway up. Beautiful views to stop and click pictures. Once you reach to the top you will see the Amazing views of fall colours, forest, town and lake. If you are here in the evening you can capture the beautiful Sunset too. It gets really crowded in fall season. So plan your visit accordingly. Overall Beautiful place to stop by when driving through Huntsville and enjoy and appreciate the beauty of fall colours.

Remember the following text: "Relaxing place to have a picnic with a view. Nature picnic areas, parking lot, and hikes are available in this place. Pets are welcome. It's a very clean and pretty place to look down on the little town. Today is June 23rd, and it's about 80°F at 11 am. I've seen on others' reviews that it's a really nice place to chill. May is a wonderful time to go there too."Remember the following text: "Relaxing place to have a picnic with a view. Nature picnic areas, parking lot, and hikes are available in this place. Lions Lookout offers one of the best views of both the town and the lake, especially during the fall when the colors are absolutely breathtaking. Its proximity to town makes it a perfect spot for a quick visit, and the scenic overlook is truly worth it. However, the experience is often spoiled by the parking situation. There’s only enough space for about 15 cars at the top, but many visitors drive all the way up and park along the road, making it difficult for other cars to navigate and drive back down. It would be much more enjoyable if people were more mindful of this, as the traffic can get quite frustrating. Overall, a must-visit for the views, but be prepared for some parking challenges!

We return to the Lions lookout almost every year for the stunning fall colour view. This year, many inconsiderate people conveniently parked on the side of the road which ultimately blocked the already narrow entrance to the parking lot on top of the lookout. If you are reading this post, please 🙏 remember to share the road. Many people come here with young and elders, you can always drop them off at the top of the hill and park on the designated area at the bottom of the hill. We understand there is a hike up the hill however it is not a reason to block the others who might have problems walking. Thank you for sharing the responsibility

Lions Lookout in Muskoka offers one of Ontario’s most stunning views, especially during the fall when the landscape is painted in vibrant autumn colors. Overlooking Huntsville and the surrounding lakes, it's a favorite spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. However, during Thanksgiving weekend, the lookout becomes crowded with visitors eager to enjoy the scenery, leading to congested trails and parking areas. While the crowds can make it challenging to fully immerse in the peaceful surroundings, the breathtaking view remains well worth the visit. For a quieter experience, visiting during off-peak times is recommended.

Beautiful view from the lookout. When in Huntsville, it is a must visit but best view is probably in fall. If you like to hike for around 5 minutes then you can park in the large parking at the bottom of the Lookout Road. On the Lookout Road, on the right, there is a paved road for cars which you can walk to reach the top OR you can take the unpaved walking trail on the left and go through some old trees to reach the top. If there are adults with you, you can take the car up the hill where there is 10-12 car parking. The lookout provides amazing views of Huntsville & surroundings. Take a lot of pictures & enjoy!!!
