While the atmosphere is great, the service, pricing and general structure is horrible. Looking at pub on the docks the three floor patio seems unique and interesting (even though there is another restaurant a few doors down with the same idea) the first floor is right on the water, the second at street level and the third is at the top of the building. The available space in the indoor bar is VERY limited even though this is where the life performances are. With tables and music equipment practically blocking the entrance to this area it becomes unwelcoming to anyone who is looking for a place to eat inside. The second floor's patio at least has the upside of a mix of big and small tables where people can still enjoy the music. Coming onto the third floor will be the most rewarding as it does have a nice view and has a nice layout allowing for bigger groups. Moving onto the service, everything seemed standard to start but as the night went on the servers were drinking way too much on shift and not paying attention to anyone who wasn't a local or regular. Finally when were were ready to order a few more drinks I waved the server down and she just waved back and continued to take more shots. So we decided to pay, the cocktail and beer that I ordered costed $18 and the I also decided to pay for the 3 soft drinks our designated drivers ordered which totalled to $10. All around I found it to be a more than frustrating experience and don't intend on...
Read moreWhere do I start? Does not take reservations, even for locals who support the establishment year round. If its raining they expect you to come in and give your name for a table and then wait the 45 minutes to 2 hours for your table. Keep in mind there is no parking nearby or shelter to wait. A phone call ahead should be enough for someone who lives in the area and frequents the establishment. Very long waits for tables and for food. Should you find yourself wanting a drink on a Saturday night, the staff will mostly consist of young condescending people who enjoy policing. Food is increasingly inconsistent. Everything last time was cold. Our last experience made us part ways forever… as we walked in a younger crowd made racial slurs about a member of our party. Then after we had already been served, the staff made it clear they will not honour legitimate medical mask exemptions with medical documentation as proof. Ok, I understand that’s your policy, did you have a disposable mask I could have to walk to the bathroom because I don’t have one… No. Just not a very hospitable place if you happen to go here more than the occasional time, you notice the vibes are off among the crowd and the staff. The bouncer who was working when we went was very kind and enjoyable, didn’t...
Read moreWent for lunch on the Saturday of this past long weekend, we were the second through the door as they opened. I had two kids with me and the hostess informed us to ask the waitress for the kids menu items, we did and she brashly listed off 3 cheese items. They ordered the "Mac and Cheese" and myself and two other adults ordered our drinks and food. Our waitress clearly didn't want to be there and was incredibly unpleasant. It took an HOUR for our food to arrive, families that arrived a half hour after us were eating their food. When it did arrive the kids "mac and cheese" was literally Kraft Dinner in two ramekins which they charged $16 for. By that point the kids were done with being there and I asked for the bill, again, took the waitress forever to bring it to me, she split the bills wrong and the debit machine didn't work. She forced me to try it 5 times while I was trying to keep two very unhappy kids entertained offering no other solutions. When I asked if I could try it at a different terminal she snapped at me and said "she didn't make the debit machine not work". The service was terrible and I can't believe a restaurant would serve Kraft Dinner, take an hour to make it and charge $16. Brutal experience and feel...
