My new husband and I can't rave enough about the incredible experience we had with Blue Moon bakery! Our vegan, gluten-free wedding cake was a showstopper, not just for how stunning it looked, but for how delicious it was! Lisa and her family went above and beyond to accomodate our needs, making the entire process a joy from start to finish. My wife discovered that she was celiac a couple of years ago. We had to adapt our eating habits and source gluten free foods. Luckily we discovered the Blue Moon Bakery in downtown Huntsville. They have been in business for around a decade I think and the chef is the charming wife. She's had lots of time to figure out the subtleties of the recipes and she turns out really good stuff. Plain bread, grainy bread, tarts and all that sort of stuff. We like cheese fondue and they do gluten free baguettes that are really nice and crispy like the regular ones. Ordered some cupcakes from this place that were gluten-free and dairy-free. Absolutely flavourless and disappointing. The icing tasted like numbing cream from the dentist, the cake itself tasted like a sour salad. For nearly $75 I had high hopes from this place.
