A picturesque location pleasantly secluded from the nearby urban sprawl. It is rocky, but is worth a visit nonetheless. The beach is accessible via a large set of stairs near UBC’s Museum of Anthropology or by hiking in along the shoreline from Acadia Beach or Spanish Banks. The tower —an old military lookout which was built in anticipation but never utilized— stands in isolation above the waters at the edge of Burrard Inlet. Similar to Wreck Beach, this portion of shore is also clothing optional, however it is not as popular amongst the pro-nudity patrons as its better known-neighbour. If this is a positive feature for you, I suppose you may have the aforementioned rocks to thank. Either way, it’s quite a spot.

A much better experience if you be there while the sun is still up. Give it a shot if you need a few minutes of deep thinking and mindful relaxing.

lots of big rocks, so not sandy like wreck but smaller and quieter. lovely place to watch the sunset and more ā€œprivateā€ (for a public beach)

LADIES - WE ARE NOT SAFE HERE ANY LONGER! Please don’t come alone…my friend and I were sunbathing yesterday and an old man starting touching himself looking at us, we were clearly disgusted and it just made him happier…not the first time we’ve felt unsafe at tower or wreck but this was definitely the last straw…please keep yourself safe ladies 😣the vibes have definitely...

A very pretty spot. However, I was there last week and had an uncomfortable situation with a man who was clearly watching me as I sunbathed. Once I realised what he was doing and I sat up he got up immediately and moved out of sight of me. At that point I saw he was half clothed (top half only!). Very weird altogether. I would advise caution as it's a very...
