Disappointing visit to a place I used to love

I’ve had many beautiful memories here, so it was upsetting to be treated this way. On 27 June, there was no signage to indicate a private wedding, and after walking a long way to the rose garden, had just reached the entrance when a staff member approached, rolled her eyes, and said, “I NEED you to leave – the wedding’s gonna start very soon and you’re in the way.”

It was an uncomfortable interaction that could have been handled much better. For the sake of the bride, I walked away rather than making a scene — but I couldn’t help wondering if I was spoken to like that because of how I look. A bit of courtesy and clear signs would’ve...

One of the better parking structures at ubc. Always have some spots, even if that means they’re located a few floors down. Spots are decently sized, and the room between stalls is acceptable. Plenty of exits and entrances from multiple levels. Just wish they’d do a better job at keeping it clean, seen multiple instances of disgusting garbage, food, glass on the ground that doesn’t get picked up for...

Convenient evening parking for Chan Centre events. Pay Station is located at the same level as the entrance to the Chan Centre. Parkade is directly across from Museum of Anthropology.
