What a really cool place. Definitely out of the way but well worth the visit. There is no admission fee. Parking can be an issue as this place is on university grounds and only paid parking otherwise you can walk from transit station. The museum is small but well maintained and very informative. This is Alberta centric an feature fossils from around the province. Washrooms are close by. There is lots of room and it is not busy

Definitely a hidden gem in Edmonton. So many cool artifacts / relics on display including ones you can touch! Highly recommend checking it out. Parking here can be a pain 🦖🦕

There is an excellent collection of prehistoric materials here ranging from the stromatolites and the first signs of life on Earth to full skeletal reconstructions of large dinosaurs. Walking the perimeter will take you from the dawn of life to the not-so-distant past, with an impressive amount of full skeletons, fragments, interactive/hands-on items, and enough information to keep you engaged for an hour. Free entry, there are tables to study at, quiet atmosphere. I would also recommend checking out the also free to enter mineral museum just down the hall, there’s a beautiful assortment of all kinds of rocks and minerals...

Came here with my students for a field trip. The guide was great and interacted with the students well. She kept them engaged and showed them different fossils from different periods. Explained them and gave the students a chance to feel. A scavenger hunt was organized which gave the students something more tangible to do. More time for the hunt would have been better but we were short...
