Red Fang Tavern — Attraction in Greater Sudbury

I normally really enjoy the atmosphere and live music vibe of the Red Fang. However, I was extremely unsatisfied with the service last night. (April 5) I was with a larger group of 8 that arrived around 11pm. I was shocked that table service was still available and a bartender came over to us right away. 3 of us started tabs and were prepared to spend quite a bit of money.

In an hour and a half time period, the server came to check on us once. We made the assumption she was just busy and decided to go up to the bar to order more drinks. We received the same delayed service when ordering at the bar and many others were served before us. When asking to settle the tabs- the bartender appeared annoyed and inconvenienced by our request.

I am very disappointed, as our group was majority female. The table next to us of all males appeared to receive non stop attention from the same serving staff the entire time we were there. This group always had full drinks or a server asking if they needed anything else. As well, the males in our group received faster or preferred service when ordering from the bar.

This will not be the last time I go to Red Fang but I would like to expect more from this great, local establishment. Serving staff/bartenders should be attentive to all potential customers regardless of the perceived tips that could be earned from a group. When discussing with others who have visited a similar...

Worst place ever!! (Nov 23) Long story, not all the women in our group were drinking, it was my bday, the women who were had last call and upon bringing drinks bk to table was rudely told by a security guard that we had 10mins to finish n leave. He walked around our table once, (less then 5min later) grabbed a drink from one of the women said ur done and preceded to kick us out, one female wanted her money bk for the drink if they're weren't even going to give proper time to drink it and a altercation broke out from there.
