Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes — Attraction in Greater Sudbury

Been a visitor of this spiritual place since before the imported fountain and gate was installed, used to be able to drive right to the top and have the best view of the Canada Day fireworks at Science North. Still has the best views of Ramsey lake and Laurentian but need to use the newly expanded and paved parking lot and walk through the park.

The gardens are amazing, there used to be an older volunteer who tended to them even being mostly blind herself.

The statues cover several religions and faiths, it is not solely a Catholic place due to the large glowing cross seen from afar and the original grotto shrine of Mary that was the park's starting point.

Visited the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Sudbury with a friend on the first snowfall of winter 2024, and it was a truly serene experience. The place has a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful statues and a charming fountain, which added to the calmness of the surroundings.
