Built in 1873, the historic Royal City Mission (earlier known as the Chalmers United Church) stands tall in downtown Guelph. The church has a beautiful sanctuary that was designed for acoustics, making it a popular venue for concerts and performances. With cushioned seating on the floor level and an overarching balcony section with cinema-style wooden seats, you're guaranteed a great view of the band regardless of where you sit. However, it does not compare well with purpose-built concert venues with higher production quality in terms of lighting or sound. We saw the Great Lake Swimmers here in 2023 and it was a good performance with a packed audience.

The performance was fabulous. The setting was lovely. The musicians played beautifully. Highly recommend this performance for anyone who wants a great night out. Awesome!!!
