A great place for a classy dinner or a casual patio lunch. Food and service was definitely 5/5 if your in the area you owe it to yourself to stop by here. Heard a lot of good reviews about this from people and I believe it was featured on BlogTo. We decided to go in around lunch and decided to eat on the patio. We did have a peak inside and the decor was both classy and modern. This would definitely be a place to book for a nice dinner or celebration. With that being said the patio out in front had a nice and casual feel to it. Upon entering we were promptly greeted and brought to the patio. The host (or manager not sure and didn't catch his name) was fantastic he tried his best to get us a shady spot outside of the sun and tried moving the tables around for our benefit. For food we started with the bruschetta which was a fresh starter that was a great way to start the lunch. They did have a lunch special but I opted for the full sized pizza and I was not disappointed. I felt that the lunch special would have been too small (half the pizza) so do keep that in mind if your a big eater like me. The lunch pasta was perfectly Al dente and not too rich. The food was excellent and the staff was exceptional and can't wait to come back and try the full dinner menu.

I don't even know where to get started, I had such a horrible experience as I walked in I was not even able to eat.To summarize it short, customer service and hospitality was 0/10! The person who greeted us was Corey/Korey. We asked for a table of 5 he said WE DONT DO TABLES of 5 .... at 3 pm then I asked to sit at the bar he said to go right ahead. As we proceeded we saw another group of 4 in line they asked, and Corey asked if they booked online. They verbally said NO they weren't able to. He then looked around and found a table for them within 2 minutes. Then as I saw Corey pass my group at the bar I asked, "Is there a table for 4?" He sharply and quickly said NO. WHEN THE RESTAURANT WAS HALF EMPTY !! remember it was 3 pm, there were approx 15 seats with empty tables available. (I wish I took a photo!) I was talking to my friends and I said "This is interesting there's a table for them but not us" Corey overheard us and said loudly with a firm voice "Actually they've booked a table". I was so confused because the bar is near the front door and I was observing their conversation in depth to see how Corey would respond/ react to the group. Corey did not ask the group for their number, their name or any personal information regarding the booking that Corey demanded us that they booked prior. Quick after he said, "Actually they've booked a table". I was shocked with no words he then YELLED to us "You know what get out" and told the server out LOUD in public "Stop serving them" I was deeply embarrassed and shocked! He also stated to my friend and me " You are not welcomed here" At this point my friend said we should go right now he would probably do something bad to us. So we left quickly with no words. In my WHOLE LIFE I never experienced such discrimination before I was so upset I cried so much. I will never EVER forget his name and this horrible experience.

Front of house was a slow in coming to us and getting us seated when we had a reservation. Overall service was good and food was good too. The patio is well shaded and had a great atmosphere. Ordered calamari fritti, crispy pork belly, bruschetta, and grilled octopus to start. Food was good but felt portions could have been bigger for the prices they charge, especially the octopus appetizer which had far more beans when the octopus should have been the star. For mains I tried 2 pizzas, and 4 different pastas. Pasta texture was al dente (as it should be). Tomato based pastas were great with nice acidity. Protein portions of the pastas were good. Favs were tagliatelle cinghiale bolognese & linguine sorrentina con pollo. The margherita pizza was good although it could have used a little more cheese. The fontina pizza was just ok and didn't quite meet my flavour expectations of bechamel, fontina, or truffle. Pizza crust met my Neapolitan expectations. Overall, good restaurant (food and service) and great patio atmosphere that I would recommend and wouldn't mind going back to.

I have no shortage of nice things to say about this restaurant. The food is incredible, well portioned and very tasty. The service is very hospitable, everyone I interacted with was kind and friendly. The atmosphere is stunning, they very clearly take care of the space, inside and out. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to book our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in this restaurant, and everything was beautiful and went flawlessly. The event coordinator that works with the restaurant Ashley is the most professional, organized and competent person I've ever met in the event industry. The space is perfect to host 25 to 30 people (you can even get 40 people in there for a ceremony if you wanted to), and they were so generous in allowing us to come in the night before to set up, and stay an hour later than we paid for at no additional charge. There is not a single thing that I can say went poorly with our experience at the restaurant. The owners should be very proud of what they have! Any time we are back in Guelph, we will be back for a meal.

A simply wonderful dinner from Buon Gusto's last night. We love this place because the quality of every dish has been exceptional. In house dining or take-out-home, always great. One of our favourite dishes is their SICILIAN GRILLED CHICKEN. It's unbelievably one of the tastiest chicken dishes you'd ever want_chargrilled, marinated with a perfect balance of Italian herbs and nduja butter..it came accompanied with rapini, grilled red peppers and tiny roasted potatoes, all cooked to perfection. The calamari arrabbiata is crispy, tender and spicy, you can never go wrong if 'calamari' is something you enjoy and the charred octopus is another favourite that never fails. For the first time, we tried the Eggplant Parmigiana. I'd give this dish 10 stars if I could...the San Marzano tomatoes and Grana Padano make it one of the best 'eggplant parmigiana you'd ever want. Thank you Buon Gusto's for your attention to serving quality food cooked to perfection.

My husband and I decided to eat here for our anniversary and all I can say is that the entire experience was a 20/10! PHENOMENAL!!! It has been years since we have had a high quality, beautiful place to nosh. Buon Gusto is it! This is now our favourite place to eat, we cannot express our gratitude to find a restaurant like this, especially so close to home! The food was amazing - we had the calamari arrabbiata and the crispy pork belly apps to start followed by beautiful entrèes and ended with the most perfect macchiato. The timing of the meal in between the appetizers was perfect, gave us time to digest before the mains came. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Magda was our server, she was absolutely delightful, and made our entire experience. She was the best we’ve ever had to be honest! So warm, personable, attentive and we felt so well tended to. Thank you Buon Gusto for making our entire day! We will definitely be regulars going forward.
